A few years ago Carnival apparently stopped selling the coffee mugs with the name and picture of the ship in the gift shops. But a few months ago when we were on Sunrise they were available. Have you seen them available on any of the other ships? I would like to complete my collection, and yes, i know about looking for them on eBay.

It isn’t necessarily at 6pm. We did it in 2017 and signed up on the ship. I know we didn’t eat that early because we always have late seating.
-
And I still wouldn't ever book a cruise for hurricane season.

Idk what that is.
Yes, I believe up to $100 OBC by staying in a suite.
They no longer have a Future Vacation Desk on the ship. You will get an email offer when you return home which is good for 2 weeks, but the OBC is only $50 and you have to book Early Saver, which means a penalty if you cancel or change. In the old days you could book Past Guest and get $100 OBC for a 7 night cruise.

If you have a choice, pick a cruise that sails from Manhattan. The views of the west side of Manhattan, including the Freedom Tower, plus the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, are priceless.
-
You might consider renting a car at the airport. You can turn it in in Cocoa Beach and they will shuttle you to the ship.

Everything else is open.
This applies to all Carnival ships.

We've been on a number of them, but they all seem more similar than different. Probably the worst one was the Festivale, by today's standards, but we had a great time on it back in '87. That's the ship that got us started.
And I had a great time, too in '96. The only reason I wouldn't sail it again is that it was sold and scrapped.

When is your cruise? Carnival is moving to a different pier while they repair the one it currently sails from, so this might have something to do with it.

Just grab the dispenser. After all, you're on vacation and anything goes.

But the captain will be directing the ship from the bridge.

If your doing an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle, the City and Port Authority do that for free. I believe this is the only port that does it. It was fantastic for our cruise a few weeks ago.
You are correct. None of the Carnival ships on which we have sailed in the past several years offer this program. So unless you are returning from Alaska you have to either carry your luggage off the ship or send it down the night before and carry it out of the terminal and take it to the airport.

I never have, and never will book a Caribbean cruise during hurricane season, no matter how low the price or how much the on board credit.
-
In my opinion, no. It is profitable, especially when 1 person doesn't drink their limit. It still allows them to control how much you drink. And it discourages sharing.

When they changed this, it was the talk of the forum. Now, instead of booking at the future cruise desk onboard, you have up to two weeks after the cruise to book another one. They offer a promotional rate, 50% reduced deposit, and $50 OBC per cabin ($100 per cabin for suites). Compare that to the $200 OBC they used to offer. They were also supposed to stop manning their future cruise desks and just do it from the excursion desk. You should get an email after your cruise with details about this deal if you book another one within two weeks.
And the rate is Early Saver, so there is a penalty if you cancel or change. Until they changed the program you could get the same past guest rate that was available online plus the OBC.

No one boards until Homeland Security says so, no matter what your arrival time is. First people to board are Diamond, Platinum, Suites, and then FTTF. General boarding by zone after that.
If you are staying in a suite, you have priority boarding, which means you can arrive any time, and probably don't need to spend the money for FTTF.

Measles vaccine didn't become available until 1963. Good chance someone in their 60's and 70's got the measles and are immune. Because of a recent rash of measles in NY metro area I decided to have my immunity levels checked.. I'm 56 and sure enough my levels immunity level was extremely low..I got a fresh measles shot .. Why chance it ?
I also had my levels checked before sailing from New York through a simple blood test and found out I was still immune.

And your card will be platinum on day 1.

According to Carnival's website (under Already Booked, Airport Transportation) if you book their shuttle to Long Beach airport you shouldn't book a flight earlier than 11 am. We always use this as a rule of thumb, even though we always book our own transportation from the ship to the airport. You never know what time you'll actually get off the ship ( we were delayed once due to gangplank problems, or what the traffic to the airport will be like, or how long it will take to check in and clear security.
Here's the link:

Bring duct tape, in case your lanyard breaks. You can either repair it or just tape your S&S card to your body.
