I really would like to see the northern lights but can't see any itinerary for this. I recently read a review of the Iceland and Ireland cruise where they spotted the lights in May. How rare is it to see them at this time of year? I know I could do P&O or Viking from Southampton for the Northern lights but prefer celebrity.

We are due to sail from Southampton in 2 weeks but I have yet to see any shows in the app. House bands and soloists are showing up although nothing for the Sunset Bar. Could anyone who has been on Silhouette lately let me know what shows and guest performers are on board.

Hi can anyone clarify whether the new room service charge includes any food you order or is the charge just for the 'service'. Thinking about hot breakfast items specifically. We are in a standard balcony cabin. Not aqua or concierge.

I agree I've never been asked about my prescription medication but I always have to explain my nebuliser when it's picked up on x-ray. 😄 I think he should get a doctor's letter as bigenboys' post suggests. Hopefully he'll be able to cut the meds down by then anyway.

Hi we're sailing this summer from the UK . My dad is on controlled drugs (painkillers) having recently had back surgery. Does anyone have any experience with taking such medication on board. They will obviously be prescribed for him and in the original packaging.

That's great Jim. My dad will have had his surgery by then and will be able to get cancellation insurance. I was worried that UK FPD was different.

We booked 2 cabins on Silhouette for June 17 th. Final payment date is on our Celebrity account as April 8th but on my invoice from Celebrity UK it is March 25th. Which is the correct one? Really hope it is April as one of our party is due to have a medical procedure before he can get his travel insurance. This will be completed by then. Don't want to risk paying without cancellation insurance. A couple of weeks will make all the difference.

Well that's confused me even more. There's so much to weigh up. The dining and room service charge on X are a big deal for us. That lobster tail is an insult!

Does Viking have guest performers? We've enjoyed some pretty tribute acts too on Celebrity.

I think we would enjoy the the smaller ship feel. We do not typically enjoy daytime activities on sea days, preferring to read and relax and enjoy the view. On the other hand we nearly always go to a show after dinner and may miss this. Is the dinning comparable to Celebrity (pre the cut backs)?
