  1. Hi all, I am going to Alaska end of May and just wondered whether it was better to do the glacier and dog sled tour in the morning or the afternoon, as I heard it can be a bit misty in the mornings? Many thanks
  2. Hi all, We will be cruising in Alaska in May. My friend and her husband want to join us but she will be entering her 24th week of pregnancy literally 4 days into the seven night cruise. Do you know if Celebrity are very strict in their policy? How do the doctor's know exactly how many weeks pregnant you are anyway, especially where you hear about women that did not know they were pregnant until they were quite a bit into their pregnancy? Many thanks, Shilu
  3. Hi all, My family and I will be cruising Alaska end of May. As I can't see myself making much use of the outdoor swimming pool, I just wondered how busy the indoor pool tends to get? Many thanks
  4. Hi all, I'm mainly confused with the pricing. I went onto the cruise planner for classic non alcoholic package @£11.70 a day and they still added 18% on the end so for 7 nights £96.44. This works out much more than $18.88 tax included on celebrity website even with a poor exchange rate. Have they put the prices up? I thought the UK website was gratuity tax inclusive? Many thanks, Shilu
  5. Hi all, We are sailing on the Celebrity Summit out of San Juan in a couple of weeks, just wondered if there are any shows on the first night? Are they actual entertainment shows or is it just a way of telling us of the upcoming shows? What time do they start? Anything else I should bear in mind on the 1st night? Many thanks,
  6. Hi Everybody, Just wondered if Polo shirt (not full sleeve) with smart jeans and shoes is ok for smart casual. It says the shirt should have sleeves. Does this mean a full sleeve? I think a Polo shirt with jeans/chinos is quite smart. Many thanks, Shilu
  7. Hi, Does anyone know how much a non alcoholic classic drinks package is once you are on ship? We sail in December 2014, is there any chance there will be a sale on between now and then on drinks packages? Thanks, Shilu
  8. Hi all, I know formal nights are usually on Sunday and Thursday if we sail Saturday, but New Year's Eve is on Wedneday, so I wondered if formal nights will still remain the same or if there is an extra celebration on the Wednesday. Also, are evening dining options only in the MDR each night or are there other places available for buffet etc (Apart from speciality dining)? What is the best place for dining if you are vegetarian (no fish)? Is the menu in the MDR more limited for vegetarians or is there a good choice? Many thanks
  9. A bit cheeky, but do you know if you can upgrade to premium package on the last day or two, only to take in delights of the molecular/martini bar? Thanks, Shilu
  10. Do you know if you pay the same gratuity for infants less than 1 yr old and toddler 3 yr old? It does seem quite steep for the infant? Many thanks, Shilu
  11. Hi Mimi, In St lucia, we got Kimbert from PHV tours to meet us (prearranged), and drive us through banana plantations etc (rum tasting), to Souffriere. You can stop off to do a little 45 min trek of the pitons on a trail. We met up with the ship in Souffriere and took it's snorkelling excursion which was well organised, to the base of the Pitons. Bequia is great for chilling and sunbathing. You can take a taxi tour to view the island, but probably not required. I am not sure about snorkelling in Grenada but a lot of people just took water taxis or taxis to the nearest beach and snorkelled off it. St Vincent, it was easy enough to catch a cab, but barter hard, especially if you are the only ship in dock
  12. Hi all, Does anyone know the show times in the main theatre for this week between Xmas and new year and if one of the formal night will be New Year's Eve? Many thanks, Shilu
  13. Hi muskatness, The itinerary does seem port intensive, but trust me, it was brilliant and relaxing. St Lucia was one of my favourites. It was definitely worth doing an island tour, private taxi from Marigot bay to Souffriere ( we used Kimbert from PHV tours). Try not to use ship's tours as a lot of people complained of how rushed it was and how little time they had at each stop, hope that helps, Shilu
