Hello, For those who have sailed Mediterranean itinerary Barcelona, Cannes, Sardinia, Sicily, Mykonos, Santorini and Piraeus...or similar in mid October what rx regarding temps and travel clothing. We frequently travel to Mexico and hot climates, so I am trying to envision packing for cooler weather and if sea evenings are cold.. to make this more fun we only travel with carry-ons... 🙂

What is the time range for dinner reservations?

Do you need reservations for the brunch? Is it extra?

When I looked it up it was about 900 for two nights… we now have booked with Hotel Continental Barcelona. I am really not sure how jet lag will affect us but I am hoping to get tickets to La Sagrada on Thursday prior to cruise Friday.. goal is feeling great for cruise 😊

The Eurostars Grand Marina looks lovely but a bit out of our price range! LOL

Are there ports you can just get off the ship and enjoy the actual port locations in (Cannes, Cagliari, Catania, Mykonos, Piraeus) ? Are there ports that you would absolutely bypass or stay on ship and for sure book an excursion? Hello, Traveling “Across The Med” Resilient Lady in October 2024.. arriving Barcelona mid afternoon Wed from USA leg .. I am not sure we will have much energy to do much sightseeing and we have embark time 2:45 Friday… stay easy Airport hotel that offers cruise shuttle to re cooperate prior to cruise or stay ? … we are in late 50s easy to please and flexible when traveling not late night party peeps lol! So, flying out of Grand Rapids, MI to Barcelona October 8 2024 to get a few days rest before Virgin Voyages cruise out from Barcelona that debarks Athens (port) on Sunday October 20th 2024: GRR to BCN October 8 2024 ATH to GRR October 20 or 21 or 22 We are newbies to long haul flights and I am just trying to determine what a "good price" may be and if what I keep finding on Google Flights is good or should I wait... just trying to learn from those who fly often. If 3600 is good for two premium economy fares I will purchase now... if it is high I will keep watching... again just learning. Thanks

Hello a few more questions and guidance please. 1. What is a "good" price for premium economy from East Coast to Barcelona open jaw Athens Back to east coast. Trip again is in October 2024. 2. Does anyone fly day before into east coast airport (JFK, BOS, BWI) stay a night then depart from airport to European destination to avoid missing that trip over for cruise and then fly back and stay a night after long haul flight and then depart for home next day to break up the weariness and lessen possibility of missing the all important connection?
