  1.

As others have stated, it is an easy walk from the Trevi Fountain to the Piazza Navona. The route is well marked, and it passes the Pantheon.

One could start this loop as we like to do from THE colosseum. Walk past the forum up to the victor Emmanuel then to the trevi then the pantheon and then end up at the piazza navona. There's always lots of cabs on this square and so much to see along the route along the North side of the colosseum to the victor Emmanuel and everything is free, expect if u want to go in the colosseum. This is an easier walk in Rome and breathtaking. A quick cab ride and have the cabbie wait from the piazza navona would check Saint Peter's square

  2. We have been to Rome three times. We are both in great shape, we weren't even able to walk from the Vatican to the colosseum but what it took 3-4 hours... the streets in Rome are hard to distinguish and your mobile device can run lots of $$$$ to use a map app.. use taxis. But be careful before you even get in one..! Pronto Taxi is the only reputable consistent company we have dealt with ( we did metro first visit, that was enough). Some taxis do not use meters and will straight up rip you off 30 euros for what should be a 8 to 10 Euro ride in a pronto taxi. You can call them and they will send a cab immediately, there's a few (think 3euro ) charge for that.. we have hailed taxis no problem. We have encountered the crooks mostly outside the main entrance to the Vatican museum and outside Saint Peter's square. Also beware that the metro line to the Vatican and colosseum are highly trafficked by pickpockets. We love Rome, but be safe.

  3. Definitely not an expert- we've cruised from Galveston before but drove down from Colorado. We're flying into Houston this year.. we have booked the cruise line hotel and transfer from Houston international staying at the Marriott for under $100/pp. we decided to stay the night after as well, sometimes there is fog, and the airport is a haul from the port (90 mins). Hotels in Galveston are $$$. And to be honest it's not that great of a beach

In My opinion. However we do love the Liberty and can't wait to see her refurbs in April!

  4. The coffee tends to get worse in the windjammer as the day wears on.. it just burns and burns. Half a cup of coffee mixed with a sweetener and topped off with lots of milk makes even the worst tolerable. What we do is order lots of coffee from

Room service for in the mornings and take the carafe with us up on deck. We take the coffee carafe back to our cabin to be picked up later. The coffee stays super hot and it's better than windjammer.. just a thought.

  5. Here's a post I put on another thread concerning when kids should be allowed to roam at will i wanted to give a two sided view. lol! Btw- I think a good stink eye will shut down most little brats. However a growling don't even think of it from my hubby in the elevator would have left those kids in need of new trousers.. lol! Enjoy!!

Here's my opinion-- I started cruising when I was ten. My older brother and I went w our gparents on a very small ship. It was great- they honestly let us roam wild.. lol. There were maybe twenty other kids total onboard.. we would do our own skits on the stage in the theatre during the day with the other kids. No kids club in those days.. my brother grew tired of it.. he was rather fond of the quarter slider in the casino!! Lol- my gparents were not too happy when they found him there. It became an issue-- he was hooked. They, gparents and casino staff, banned him from even walking through the casino. Yes, we hung out in stair wells and road the elevators.. had no idea what little sh*ts we were being. That being said- never had a problem with weirdos or perverts. Now cruising as a childless just turned 37 year old cruiser when I see kids doing something snotty I call them on it. On one of our transatlantic cruises there were two little girls around 10. They were running around the ship the entire crossing like feral animals. Hair unkept and same clothes for days and days. We were traveling with our ladies from LA who are in their 70's. The girls cut them off getting into the elevator and pushed the door closed button sticking their tongues out as they shot away!! I saw girls later that evening. Holed up in a corner at casino at a slot machine feeding it cash.. yes. I told the casino host and the security guard of the offending children's actions. Later that evening. Seen the mother- finally- up in the nightclub made up like a movie star- girls still in same dirty clothing complaining someone has turned in her sweeties and now she has to bring them with her everywhere.. idk what they were doing in nightclub with the age restriction..[emoji849] I think the rules about strangers applies to all ages, and genders. Last cruise there was this guy who was there every time I turned around. He causally chatted my husband and i up. Fast forward next days he approaches me outside windjammer. Says oh I have some spa stuff for you. Come back to my cabin with me [emoji33]... I told him no! I have to give my husband his pills.. I told my Besty bartender in casino and she took care of the situation.. saying the crew knows there are cameras everywhere it's the other guests one needs to watch. My two cents. Lol-

  6. The lady who cuts my hair asked me if she could use a Walmart money card which I guess is like a debit card. You put $ on the card at Walmart and then spend it to book a cruise. I told her I would ask her if anyone knows as I have never tried it. Thanks in advance for the help!

As long as it has credit card symbol on it. Like it's a pre paid visa debit she's good to go. I often use a prepaid card when buying train tickets and such over seas- my Amex from Walmart works when others won't.

  8. My two cents... let's just do some math to get a grip of the top drawer free loader statement. 700 nights at low ball cheap cabin rates of $50/night comes out to 35K. We've spent around a third of that. If royal drops loyalty program we will drop them. Crown and anchor is a huge reason why we have only cruised royal. They've earned this privilege and payed for it.. haters gonna hate. Lol- can't wait to get in the diamond lounge and hold court! Lol!!!

  9. At least in an interview RCCL stated Panama Canal won't be included in the upcoming itineraries for the next future, for whatever reason...

So that's a scenario unlikely to happen.

ABC islands might well be, however.

Moreover Vision otS is called @frech Riviera every 12 days in 2018, which leads to the fact she is going to overtake the 12 night runs out of Barcelona, done by Brilliance in 2016/17.

Could well be to have Vision back in Galveston by winter 2018/19.

Would love to do the TA from

Galveston!! Already booked on 5 nighter next November on vision.

  10. With Galveston at the door step of Midwestern US ,

and with Houston soon to be the third largest city in US ,

and with 5 of the 11 fastest growing cities in US being in Texas

(Houston, San Antonio, Austin , Dallas, Ft Worth ) ,

and with terminal 1 in Galveston being one of largest Cruise Terminals ,

and with new and renovated terminal 2 completed in Galveston,

and with probability of a new terminal 3 in Galveston,

and with ISLAND already being a major tourist destination with 32 miles beach,

and with two international airports close by,

and with long term planning by current city and port administrations for Cruise industry ,

and with continued increases in Hotel rooms in Galveston ,

and with continued better services for transfers for port of air passengers,

and with a big need for a larger budget

for more immigration personnel and better service ,

Galveston will ALWAYS have an important strong presence

    in the cruising industry

I thought maybe The Vision run Panama Canal? Would love to see more ships- longer itineraries from Galveston. Hit the ABC islands maybe? Hmm..

    Lots of possibilities

  11. Really liked your review! We will be back on her for our third anniversary. We were married on her ❤️. We have purchased a dining package 5 nights for 105pp. We also love Chops. Although we never ate there on Liberty. The burger they served you in Jonny Rockets looks like it was assembled from the buffet... The onion rings look fab! I was especially interested in your review of Sabor. We are considering it but now maybe not so much.. Did you happen to notice if the food was heavy with cilantro in Sabor?

    Thanks again for the review!

  12. If you order room service try the spinach dip- it's one of my favorite things on all ships!

Try and unpack as soon as you get your luggage and put your suitcases under the bed out of the way. I've began using space bags. They help keep things organized and makes packing and unpacking and then packing to go home a breeze.

We never tried specialty dining until our cruise last year.. Wow! We absolutely love chops-- with the dining package it's reasonably priced.

Don't feel like you have to do anything. Check out the steam room and gym facilities they're free and beautiful on the liberty -In my opinion-. Have a great cruise! Take lots of pictures! And be prepared to say WOW when you board. It's absolutely amazing!!

  13. Thank you! I've been doing some research and I think what I would like to do is start a cruise in Singapore and disembark near Beijing. There are a lot of options. Thank you for your advice. A minimum of three weeks would be necessary, in my opinion.

  14. Hello! Hubby and I have decided we want to travel to Asia in 2018. I really have no idea where to begin. We want to do a cruise as well as spend some time post/pre cruise on land. Not many cruises have been released yet, but I want to be ready when they become available. We want to see the Great Wall of china as well as Hong Kong and/or Singapore. Any and all suggestions, hints and links will be appreciated! I have relied on cruise critic and its wonderful members to plan many 'once in a lifetime' trips and am hoping to once again.

    Thank you!

  15. Lol- been following along- the white night is usually for a pool or disco party where the white clothing glows under the black lights. Ive been on cruises with a black and white ball where participants made black and white masquerade masks before and wore them to the black and white ball. That is all-
