My in laws were booked into a guarantee balcony on the Panorama, and they were just assigned a spa cabin! I'd read before that upgrades into the cabin don't qualify for the spa pass as you've paid for the lower cabin so I called. The PVP said that the system assigned them that cabin so they'd receive all of the benefits as it isn't technically an upgrade from a previously assigned cabin. Has this happened to anyone else?
I was given a spa cabin with a booking and I did receive the Spa wristband even though I thought that I had read you did notUsed them during the cruise

Usually none. Occasionally you will get one who has not figured out what the PA is for and makes announcements all day long.

Scheduled on a 14 day canal cruise, are they allowing you to bring more than the 2 12pk ?
They do not increase the amount you can carry on. One 12 pack per person. However you can get anew new pack at each port and carry them on. If you like you can go on and off more that once.

Hello any one cruise the carnival sunrise If so how was it and anything Ii should know about this ship ???Also can someone tell me did they say in room 8300 and 8304 Verandia deck its below the lido can you tell me do you hear anything from the lido deck. Thanks Patty
Sailed the Sunrise in Sep. The ship was fine overall. I found the Lido crowded at peak times and the pathway on the deck was blocked often by people waiting in line at Mexican place and Ice Cream on one side and Hamburger on the other. The food was good as usual and all service was good also. Do not know about sounds on Lido. . There are other threads covering the Sunrise extensively before so you can see people disagree and agree about the crowds.

They did things that they had done in earlier years. Ex Mid night Ice show. Seemed that it was a more relaxed cruise with mostly older cruisers.

We sailed it in Sept.
While at peak time the Lido area was packed. Walk right outside on the Port side near the pizza or opposite side near the Seafood Shack there were always tables.
Matter of fact at least 5 days I sat at the same table near the Pizza place with my wife.
The other days we did brunch or Seuss breakfast.
i am glad. Were you on the same cruise as myself and in the Lido at the same time and on the same days

You mean they finally ran out of those worthless lanyards.

I sailed the Sunrise in Sept. The ship overall is fine. The only problem I encountered was a lack of seating in Lido at heavy periods of time. Someone will come on and say they sailed it and did not have that problem. I am glad for them but it did occur on our cruise. The service on the ship was great as always and we encountered no problems on the ship. Common areas do seem smaller than her sister ship the Sunshine.

my daughter is currently on a cruise. She wants to get a detailed copy of her bill. I told her there has to be access on the TV screen. She says there is not. I think she is wrong.
It has been years since I've been on a carnival Cruise can someone let me know if she can access her bill on the TV and if she can how does she do it.
I know she can go down a guest services but she has no voice and is absolutely exhausted from today.
Tia
Kathy
She can get it on the Carnival Hub if she puts it on her phone. It costs nothing

If you have refundable onboard credit, you can receive it back at end of cruise Not all is refundable. Check with guest services when you get on and they can tell you how much you have of each or whether it is all non refunable.

I am having trouble as well. Had same problem last night. Carnival must be improving their website again. Every time it works right for a week they feel the need to change.

Where are there drink stations in the main dining room? We always order our beverages with the wait team who serve us our dinner.
You get it from your server. There are no stations in the MDR. Think they wer thinking about the Liido. You can ask for it in the MDR.

Come on you can say it with me, which one is the best (the rest are listed here BTW).....it is your Carnival Sunrise! Love it when things work out so well.
Did not say that the Sunrise was not the best, I said the rest must have been pitiful if the Sunrise was the best.
-
Must really be some Pitiful refurbished ships out this year if the Sunrise is the best or maybe it was the only one.

Just off The Sunshine 11 night Journeys cruise out of Charleston.
On the last day of the cruise, there were some plumbing issues resulting in wet carpeting in our cabin.
They brought the cleaning crew in with the "extractor" to try to remove the water and then left a fan blowing.
After half the day, the floors were still wet so I put down some towels.....Called housekeeping and asked them to bring the extractor back and try to get the carpet dryer, which they did.
Several officers also came by during the next hour and one offered to move us to another cabin... I declined as the cruise was over that night.
To my surprise, when the final bill arrived, they reversed the charges for 2 bottles of wine and a specialty dining reservation already paid for along with a nice note.
Reason they were so nice is they new about the problem before it happened and they had not fixed it. I had a problem with the shower overflowing on several days. They did the same thing each time and i had my own floor fan for the week The problem was the room I was in was a handicapped room and there was no ledge on the shower to stop water from flowing out. They only gave me one bottle of wine.It was on the Sunshine also in a 4J room in the front.

Does anyone know if these hotels offer transportation to the Brooklyn cruise pier?
Normally the Hilton Inn in Ridgefield does not , but when Carnival moved some cruises to Brooklyn while docks were being repaired they did

I can think of several hotels that have not changed their mattresses in 15+ years and a couple that are even using mattresses from their previous hotel brands prior to being re-flagged. I wouldn’t expect Carnival to replace mattresses frequently at all.
I would not expect that either, question was asked if they did new bedding on upgrade.

Are you sure about the bedding was not changed out during the upgrades to the Sunrise?
Yes sure the bedding was not changed.

The prodigal unhappy cruiser returns. Were you on the first sailing?
Only been unhappy on one cruise , that one I spent it in the bathroom. The room is unimportant. No it was not in the first month. So how is it in the Carnival Corporate offices.

When they upgrade they will add more rooms, cut down on common space. They do paint and spruce it up. They do not change beds out. Last cruise i was in a suite and the bed was broken down and the mattress pad would not stay on. To fix the problem they removed the mattress pad.
