We are now down to 41 days until Liberty. It can't get here quickly enough. One saving grace is we are going to San Diego the week prior to our sailing.

58 days until we sail on Liberty!!!!
Can't wait.

We are partial to Embassy Suites in Isla Verde. Nice cocktail reception nightly and a short 2 block walk to the beach. Also a hot breakfast. Plenty of restaurants around too.
-
We were also on this ship a few years ago and the gym was in good shape and all of the machines were in working order.
-
Our 2nd favorite ship. We have sailed her twice and enjoyed both times. First was out of Miami a few years ago and the second was a TA out of Barcelona 2 years ago with 15 family members. We are considering sailing her this fall with about the same number of family members again.

Formal nights on cruises is the reason I purchased my tux. DW and I like to dress for formal nights.

Favorites:
St. Martin
Barbados
Departure Port:
San Juan. Hard to beat starting your vacation in the Caribbean!!

We enjoyed the Embassy Suites - nice room, great breakfast, okay happy hour, walk 3 blocks to the beach, lots of local dining options to choose from or two dining options inside the hotel (one is an Outback Steakhouse).
Agree with this post. We have been to San Juan 5 times and have stayed here 4 of those times. Should have been 5 for 5 as the one time was not very happy with our choice.

I was just kidding in my post.
Really I am jealous. Wish we were sailing with you.
As someone just said weather patterns change and weather is hard to predict.
Have a great cruise.

It will always be beautiful and sunny. Also seas will be smooth as glass.

They will also make a frozen Mijito. They are also very good.

We start getting things out about 3 or 4 days before we leave, but actually pack tne night before we leave for the airport.

Two years ago on Liberty Of The Seas TA, they had a parade for the passangers and handed out prizes for the top 3 and our son and daughter in law along with our grandson came in first. We had a great time and the club turned into a haunted house to go through.

Thank you Sealeggs ...
You are welcome!

Hello everyone, my family of four (2 adults, 16 and 15 yrs. old) will be on our first cruise at the of the month. I have most of the port related trips planned but wanted some secrets of the AOS from you experts. I know we may not be able to do everything but can you please let me know what should not be missed? Thank you so much.
Also at night go to the Helipad. It is a little windy but the stars are incredible. To access this walk around outside deck 4 and when you get to the stairs forward go up to the bow of the ship.
Enjoy your cruise. We are really jealous. This is our favorite ship. We have sailed her 4 times and will be sailing her again after she comes out of drydock.

We have been on Adventure for 4 sailings now. I can honestly say it is our favorite ship. Just can't go wrong starting your vacation in the Caribbean.

You really believe all this stuff. Every inch of public space is on camera. The security staff seemed scared of children:rolleyes: really
What I believe is that some children were on a cruise 3 months ago and caused some disruption and since rci did not massage someone's ego over the past 3 months now they have decided to use cc.
My thoughts exactly. I agree that there are some unruly kids as there are unruly adults. You find them anywhere. But for them to be everywhere these people were is al little over the top. Just mt opinion. I could be wrong though.

Transatlantic cruises are the best for us. Many sea days and a few port of calls. Gotta love all of those sea days in a row. Total relaxation. Ok wheres my Miami Vice!!!
-
Can anyone that has sailed the ABC Island itinerary tell me the formal nights please? Not having a sea day on the first full day is making me question my guess :D
Typically Sunday and Thursday nights.

I've not heard of 1 or 2 ever. Some of the other items are fishy too.

We are partial to Embassy Suites. The hotel is great and only 2 blocks from the beach and has a wonderful pool area. The Managers Evening Cocktail reception is also very nice as is the made to order breakfast.
