  1. I have 17 year old twin boys who have been cruising with us since they were 11. We cruise once sometimes twice a year.

We take the phones as soon as the ship leaves port!

We have a no phones on vacation rule. Mine is used for an alarm clock only.

We use post it notes on the mirror in the room and set a time to meet face to face twice a day. 11am and 5pm on sea days, port days they are with us.

curfews are set based on activities and we eat together every night unless there is something special going on in the camp.

we often end up running into each other several times a day anyway.

  2. Sorry... don't feel that it's the right thing to do. If the steakhouse has a ban on wearing shorts to eat dinner, why do you feel you have a right to wear shorts while sitting at their bar and utilizing your Cheers program? The employees said it was OK because most employees don't want to rock the boat with guests and upset them. If I was paying my 35.00 pp to indulge in the steakhouse and I was dressed accordingly and adhering to the rules of the establishment, why should you be able to come in and wear shorts and have a rampant disregard for the dress requirements?

I'm sorry, but lighten up. how does what someone else wears effect your dining experience or how your food tastes.

  3. OH Please, not even NOAA have clue, that's why they are called predictions. you can start looking about 2 weeks from your cruise

They asked what the hurricane forecast was for this year...what I posted was the NOAA's 2017 hurricane outlook.

No one knows exactly how many except mother nature.

So take your Oh Please somewhere else...

  4. The outlook calls for a 70% probability for each of the following ranges of activity during the 2017 hurricane season, which runs from June 1st through November 30th:

    • 11-17 Named Storms, which includes Tropical Storm Arlene in April
    • 5-9 Hurricanes
    • 2-4 Major Hurricanes
    • Accumulated Cyclone Energy (ACE) range of 75%-155% of the median, which includes Arlene in April

  5. we sailed on the freedom last september and i can tell you that you don't have to dress up for formal nights. One night was a sunday night and i wore my packer jersey and pants and nobody said anything to me.. Except for my wife.. And i did wear shorts to the mdr a few nights with a collared shirts and nothing was said. From what i understand is as for mdr no flip flops and no sleeveless shirts. So i would say you guys would be fine all week with what you posted you would wear

    go pack go!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I have heard of exceptions being made with documentation from a physician only when the cheers package is purchased on board and at the customer service desk.

This is not a personal experience but we did meet a couple on board and she was pregnant he had a cheers sticker and she did not and thats what they told us.

The presented the documentation to the CS desk and they waived the requirement of her to purchase.

  7. Not an issue - Think about it this way if someone comes buy and snags your key then that means when you get to your room your key won't be there so you simply go to guest service and get a new one reissued and the old one is deactivated

Here is my issue....there is no simply going to the guest service desk to get a new one.

Have you ever taken a look at the guest services desk on embarkation day...long long long lines
