  1. I guess I should add that I am just off the Breeze and that since my last cruise on her in May of 2015 they have added smoking areas in the casino, you used to only be able to smoke at the casino bar and machines and tables marked smoking, the seating area near the bar was off limits. That seating area is now entirely smoking. I guess after seeing that it remained completely empty most of the time on our 2 previous breeze cruises they decided to open it up for smokers. It was a very nice place to sit and enjoy a drink and meet other smokers and smoker friendly people!

  2. I don't understand why people cant be happy with 95% of the ship non smoking. What makes you so selfish that your rights are more important than another persons. Smoking is legal. We smoke where we are aloud to smoke yet this is not good enough...non smokers want more more more. you sit in chairs on the smoking side of outdoor decks and then complain about the smoke. you wanted non smoking balconies and now you have them and when smokers go to the casino to smoke you complain about that. It must be exhausting to complain that much, besides how much of your life you waste by complaining. Be happy, learn to let things go.

  3. We just cruised on the Breeze leaving out on March 20th, returned March 26th. Staggered check in went well, there were people complaining in line outside, we had fttf and breezed into the terminal at 9:45am we were not the first as there were already people checked in and seated inside. Debark from the previous cruise took a very long time. People were still trickling off at noon. We walked on board at about 12:15pm and the front waiting room was slammed full, they were telling people who were just standing around that they could not wait there and had to go to the 2ndary waiting room.

so all in all, the staggered check in went well the debark and reload...not so much. But I dont mind waiting in the waiting area.

  4. Were you on the 6 day itinerary? I wanted to know which days were elegant dress?

Also, did you try the steakhouse?

    Thanks

Yes we were on the 6 day. Elegant night was the 1st sea day and I believe the last port day. We don't do elegant night but i can check the fun times when i get home.

no we didn't try the steak house but met some people who did and said it was fantastic.

  5. Is that for two people?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

actually for an 8 day pre-purchased Cheers for 2 people is $919.20

We had 12-2 check in and it was SOOO packed that they shut down the check-in operation because the bldg had reached its capacity.

I was guessing they had a problem getter her cleared/ready for our sailing cause it was just nuts the shutdown lasted for about 45min.

From your signature line you cruised before the actual staggered

Checkin started. It didnt go into effect until cruises sailing after march 1st. Your cruise the time they give you was a suggestion that you didnt need to follow. Sorry

  7. From what i have seen in the past they do not have joining rooms for 2 people in one and 3 in another, they are generally for 3 or more. your pvp may be able to book you into joining cabins but keep in mind that if the cruise starts to sell out they may move your room that only has 2 people in it to accommodate a family of 3 or more.

we had joining cabins my parents in one and my family of 4 in the other, they called them a couple months later and said that they were going to have to move my parents to a room for 2 on the other side of the ship in the very back (we were mid-ship), we just ended up transferring my niece from my sisters booking (5 in a room) to theirs so they could keep it. This was on the Destiny before she became the Sunshine.

  8. People keep saying staggered boarding, which is something carnival has always done with boarding zone numbers, the new thing is staggered check in. You can not enter the port building until your scheduled check in time. you can go later than your scheduled time. Staggered boarding begins when the ship is cleared and all previous cruisers are debarked as always. If you are hoping to walk directly onto the ship after check in then i would arrive later at noon or later.

  9. We are probably in the minority here, but my dh and I never eat in the MDR. no specific reason, but it just isn't our thing. However, we have gone to the MDR just to get dessert! I too love the bitter and blanc and of course the choc melting cake. We eat at the buffet and have always been satisfied. We love a laid-back, casual vacay!

This is us too. Its just to much trouble to go back to the cabin, shower and dress for dinner then go to dinner for 2 hours. That's a lot of vacation time spent on dinner.

  10. I read on the cc rumor mill recently that there is 1 way you can get a cheers package for one. The key is to purchase it with a bartender on the first day. True or false?

False...the bartenders don't even sell cheers. They will put your sticker on if you pre-purchased, but to purchase on board you have to go to the cheers table they have set up.

  11. This is incredibly unfortunate...however 100% the fault of the passengers. I do all of my research before I cruise. I know what terminal my cruise sails from, what parking garage, what the ship looks like. lack of research is your own fault, handing your bags to a porter at the wrong terminal is your own fault. besides the fact that having asked the porter is a he said/she said situation. did they even get the name of the porter they gave their luggage to? did they record the question and answer...i'm guessing no.

I love how people like to blame their own mistakes on other people.

  12. Eating healthy, working out, and lots of water will do MUCH more for you than any overpriced vitamins will ever do.

I am aware, I work out 5 days a week and eat a healthy low carb lifestyle, and drink plenty of water everyday, however healthy people still get sick. I primarily use essential oils, but before a trip I bump it up adding airborne vitamin booster. its not bad for me not at all high priced and worth it to me so that the chances of my expensive vacation doesn't getting ruined. but thanks for your input.
