  1. Recap: A clothes line in the bathroom on deck 8 concierge class. Bring clips as it’s not the strongest for shirts and shorts. I used heavy duty magnets to hang damp (not wet) swimsuits on the wall to finish drying. Worked well. appetizers delivered to the room were gross. In looks and taste. Get to the Martini bar early for a seat. Go to Horseshoe Bay on the last day. We heard the ships pool was crowded, Carnival had left, and NCL was leaving before us. At 9am we took a taxi for 5 people it was 42.00. The driver gave a great tour with the drive. We were able to get umbrella and chairs 45.00 and had a pick of where we wanted to be set up. The beach was not crowded at all. At 12:30 we took the 7.00 per person shuttle that filled up quickly. We were back on the ship 1:00ish. I think most people stay around the ship since we have to be back by 330 and NCL by 2. Go to St. George’s by ferry. Bring a swimsuit as there are a lot of little coves. You can get to St Catherine’s beach for 3.00 per person. Not a big beach and no facilities but it was clean and empty. A large hotel is part of the beach but their part is private and busier. Food on the ship was okay. You won’t go hungry. Bring a couple of protein bars when you go into Bermuda. You will walk a lot and I had wished I had one on me. One thing that I didn’t like was the stores had more activities than the ship at times. I also didn’t like that it wasn’t a large variety of people. Most of the guest drove to the cruise and seemed to have come from large groups. Glad I went and I know that I am going to get slammed on this board for saying this, and it is only my opinion from one Celebrity cruise, but Celebrity will not be one of my choices unless the price is really good.
  2. I have not heard of any outbreak. I haven’t noticed a staff shortage or guest missing.
  3. Staff seemed shorter during dinner. They have not announced anything new. We were invited to the helipad for send off. Had a good time at Horseshoe Bay. Took a taxi, 5 people was 42.00. Stayed about 3 hours. The rental of 2 chairs and and umbrella was 45.00. Took the 7.00 shuttle back.
  4. They just announced the staff will need to wear masks
  5. Silent Disco on the pool deck last night.
  6. I prefer them serving as some of the guest couldn’t handle putting the servings spoons in all the different containers. I saw someone use the cheese tongs for the herring and put them back into the cheese. Thank goodness the staff saw and took the tongs and cheese away quickly. Just have a little patience waiting on the staff to serve you.
  7. I have not seen it in any daily bulletins. Our favorite so far are the trivia games and silent disco. We can’t wait for the next silent disco. They told us there will be another one, maybe tomorrow. I will add a picture of it.
  8. Today, we caught the first ferry to St George. it was at 945a and was packed. The line was very long by 925a, but we got on. There are only 4 ferries so keep up with the time. We had a great visit. Did a little shopping in town. Followed a Bermudian advice and went to the church. The people here are extremely helpful and nice. I saw a bus with flashers and asked if it went to the fort. The driver said not but she can get us a lot closer. We didn’t realize her bus was going out of service and she was taking us to the bus barn that was a lot closer. We went to St Catherine beach and toured the fort. The fort staff person called her friend to pick us up for $3.00 a person back to the ferry. Along the way, near St Catherine beach is a small cove with a beach and no people. It is very small. The driver told us all over the island are gypsy drivers (not real gypsy) that will drive cheaper and it is a way to subsidize their pay. Our driver was a sped teacher. She was so informative and nice. Took the 2pm ferry back, went on board and Oceanview was closed but got lunch at the pool grill. Tomorrow we are going to Horseshoe Beach by taxi to make sure we get there and back. FYI: Buffet- staff is serving all stations. We were able to change the complimentary “champagne” to a bottle of red. We keep forgetting to tell them we need an opener. Didn’t need to pack a nightlight or plug extension. My large water bottle has came in handy. Large clip magnets have been good to hang damp clothes. Beach bag has been used everyday. Didn’t need 2 light jackets. One would have been plenty. Good walking shoes including water shoes have been used. There is a laundry cord in the shower.
  9. It was in the excursions. I know there are at least 2 days because another couple in our party signed up for the Saturday one while on the ship.
  10. I finally went to the theater at 9p to watch the comedian and it was packed. A lot of masks but definitely not everyone. Maybe 50/50 but it was hard to tell. We had to walk out because it was too full. Earlier post, I stated atrium, I meant solarium. We were able to find 2 chaises after a couple left. Spent about 3 hours there enjoying the pool and tub. Great place to spend a very windy day. I know this is a novel idea but we left our spots to go have lunch. People were rushing to claim it. People in our party went on the behind the scenes tour and loved it. They said it was well worth the price. They were told 1820 were on board. We are enjoying trivia in the Sky Lounge during the day. There is a fun crowd every day. Bermuda tomorrow. We are going to ferry to Hamilton as a festival is there on Wednesday’s. My DH would like fish and chips for lunch and I am sure it will be easy to find on Front street. I will let you know. FYI- a new shop that sales high end designer purses, opened yesterday. The person working there stated that obc could be used there. They sale LV, Prada and Gucci.
  11. Maybe 25%. If you don’t like the idea of no masks, you wouldn’t like this cruise. The elevators have been mainly empty. The lounges have been able to spread out. So far I haven’t heard anyone getting sick.
  12. Day 3: Windy, windy, windy. Got outside by 900am to get 2 deck chairs and all downstairs were saved. This is ridiculous. Inside the atrium pools, all saved. The top had some in the back. Not so happy this morning. I heard 2 women talking at breakfast that they couldn’t save their spot from yesterday because a group got up before them at 6. Went to the silent disco party last night. You have to experience it. It was so much fun and we stayed until midnight enjoying the time. That’s late for me. To answer the bike question, there are more in the classroom and they told me if a class is not in there, you can use them also. We have been eating at MDR in the evenings and it has been good, servers good, wine on the premium is Elegance which is fine. I like Kendall Jackson’s reds. Probably 1% using masks. We haven’t been in the theater so can’t tell you anything about that. I haven’t heard anything about covid on board and it doesn’t seem like anyone is missing. lol.
  13. I have the premium also but couldn’t find it. They had Tito's last night. Whew!
  14. Day 2: We had a good dinner in Cosmo yesterday. It was slow but we weren’t in a hurry. Slept well with our 6 pillows. My DH asked for a body pillow and they gave us a cooling pillow and body pillow. We are near the aft and there was a bit of vibration last night nothing that woke us up. I am a light sleeper anyway. The chair hogs were in full force this morning. There was flamingo clips everywhere. I went to the gym at 630a this morning and passed clips on the front rows. I wish I would have experience Celebrity before Covid. Or not in the summer. We just are not experiencing a different crowd then NCL. So far river cruising is still my favorite of any of the ocean lines we have been on. Back to report: Wi-Fi on my phone has need horrible. iPad is better. We are on deck 8 and once again I would say it is a good deck. Martini bar ran out of TItos last night. Asked for Pearl instead and the bartender had never heard of Pearl. It’s in their display case for the bar. He laughed and said he can’t touch the display. The pool area at 1030a is getting packed. People are not finding chairs. There are a good number of kids. Well-behave and having a good time. Now I can get my iPad to work, I will post better. Thank you to those on this cruise that took up my slack.
  15. We received our BTA the Sunday before we sailed.
  16. Both sides show the Statue of Liberty.
  17. Day 1: Embarkation was interesting. Part of our party was sent to the suite section the rest of us was sent to general section. When we mention they were with us, they told us they didn’t care if they were sent there, you don’t belong. We are all next to each others rooms in concierge. I found the embarkation people were not very friendly. They were a little late with check in so we didn’t get on until 1140 with 11:00 checkin. Check in was easy. We had hard copies for everything. The concierge lunch was good. Limited menu but good. We heard 1800 on board but not sure if that is correct. The ship is beautiful and staff has been great. Two bags were delivered by 1:00, one bag still needed. Room is nice 8173. I like the 8th deck so far. A lot more storage than expected. Smaller than our Regent cruise but about the same for our balcony on NCL. A cabin is a cabin to sleep for me. But I have to have the balcony at least.
  18. I have only read the live reviews and never posted one so i am going to try. Flew into EWR with no issues. In fact, I started worrying it was going to easy. Flights were early, no baggage lost. The airport is a little tricky at catching the hotel shuttles but the people were helpful. We are staying at The Country Inn on International. Great location to spend a few hours before the cruise. We were meeting up with friends from all over the US so they were coming in at different times. The hotel is no frills, clean, and staff have been friendly. We opted for the shuttle service at 17.50 each. It would have been cheaper for Uber or a little less for taxis but I am all about simple. Times are set at 10, 11, or 12. With a 11 check in we chose the 10. There is an large outlet mall very nearby, walking distance with a crosswalk. It had plenty of to chose from to eat. A Ruby Tuesdays is beside the hotel. The Embassy Suite is next to us and a couple more a few yards away. This was good enough for our 18 hour pre-cruise. There are 10 of us for reference. I will let you know how embarkation goes later today.
  19. We just got done with On Point. Could not have been easier. We clicked on the Zoom link that was emailed (another one today as a reminder), at 4p a person came on and introduced himself. Made sure it was working and we could hear, and went right to it. We did it together using an ipad and it was quick. Right at 15mins we showed him the results and he explained how we would get the results. Within 10mins of finishing the call an email was sent. Fast, and easy. And we were both negative.
  20. I take the On Point test in 1.5 hours. I already had the Zoom app on my phone because we use it at work. I will report how it goes in a little while. 🤞
