  1. I emailed them because I wanted to know what the actual price was and this is the response I got so this is accurate..

Currently our rates are the same US$15 p/p as our future attractions (Turtle Tours and Water Slide) are not completed at this moment, however should they be installed by the time you arrive in February, the above rate sheet will apply.

Yes, For cruise passengers, we offer a beach package of *US$15 per person - children under 12 years old are *US$12, under 4 years old are free. We do not take any reservations and work on a first come, first serve basis.

    *Rates are subject to change

    This package includes:-

    A free Welcome drink,

A free lounge chair or day bed,

    Shared umbrella *while stocks last*,

    Free WiFi,

As well as all our facilities:-

Recommend you come early to choose your spot on the beach. We are about a 8 mins drive or 20 min walk from the cruise port. We open at 9AM.

Different price for cruise passangers and visitors from hotels?

I was at boatyard Dec. 2014 and the price was about 20$. If I remember correctly, it included the chair and food/drink up to 20$. Is that correct or am I imagining things?

    thanks

  2. Do you know if the charge the entrance fee for children mine are 4 and 7

I am pretty sure this is where we want to go

The following increase in the admission price will take place as of November 1st - as posted on their website:

CRUISE PASSENGERS - $20US ($40BDS) - Includes use of onsite amenities listed above plus ONE free welcome drink and transport back to the cruise terminal.

  3. So it's sounding like Palm beach will be good for us with the kids ..

Anything I should know about going there ?

The taxi fares in the pdf linked above are correct. You need to add a $3 surcharge each way for pickup/drop off inside the cruise terminal. Also add an additional $3 each way on Sundays and National holidays.

With that said, it would be easier to take the bus rather than worry about securing a taxi back to the ship. The #10 bus turns around at Arashi Beach. ;)

Arashi Beach, Catalina Cove and Boca Catalina are all easy walking distance from one another.

IF you do decide to take a taxi pre-arrange for the driver to come back and pick you up to take you back to the ship.

  4. We are looking at going to Eagle Beach we have a 4yr old and 6 year old what do you think ? I tried looking for pictures of the playground at Reflections but couldn't locate any ... Do you have any?

The Radisson is now a Hilton.

Radisson stopped selling day passes long before it was bought by Hilton.

With that said, the Hilton is not selling day passes.

If you go back to the original post in this thread for a list of day passes offered.

If you want to go back to Palm Beach, there are numerous vendors in the area of the Hilton who rent chaises and umbrellas.

Again exact details on that are at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=45139280&postcount=1 the first post in this thread. :)

  5. You were so helpful in helping me find a place to go in Jamaica with my kids now we are looking at Cozumel we have been to Playa Mia wanna try somewhere new I was looking at Mr. sanchos but I see you like Chankanaab .. Which do you like better? And why ?

She played it off like it didn't sting, but I'm pretty sure from the looks of it and the sound that it did have to hurt some. But she kept going.

Are you trying to dive now? Again, not a pretty ending.

Man these drinks are strong. I've been going strong all day long and I think the hubby was a little far gone too. Maybe we should back off just a little. When it comes to the time where you're too drunk to take a picture holding your glass anymore and you have to use your feet...it's time to stop. Take note!

  6. Wow that was an amazing review !!!

And your daughter is so adorable !!!!

How do I book that excursion for the day I am sold also does it go from Falmouth ?

I seen that it is a little pricey but I want to feel safe and relax for the day that to me is priceless

We had an excellent day at Hilton Rose Hall booked with Resort For a Day. The place is amazing and huge with plenty to do. I did a complete report/review on it and it's located in my signature line. There's TONS of pictures so you can see what it's like. :)
  7. Because I am the paranoid mom that I am I asked so many questions on all the cruises we have ever left our kids and I was told that there are more cameras in the kids areas than there are in the casinos ... Also I wouldn't leave my kid if they couldn't communicate with me because I want to be able to ask if they had fun ect... We are going on a cruise in Nov and it will be my 3yr olds first time time in the kids club and I know he is just gonna love it but I will be randomly just dropping by to check as I always do.

And yes it is a fact that kids are more likely to be molested, abused by someone they know my husband and I both work in the law enforcement field which is why I am am so paranoid because I know what can happen.

We have never had issues on ships.

Let me tell you one funny story though. On our last HAL cruise we had bought our kid new Crocs. Midway through the cruise the kids were in kids club and they got playing a game of find the shoe. Anyhow the kids had to hide a shoe somewhere in kids club and then find them. You would think this would be fine. Well the kid who hid my youngest sons croc couldn't remember where he hid it. They searched everywhere. Anyhow, they ended up calling in the security team (ironically headed by someone I knew vaguely from our home town) who ended up reviewing security cameras (which apparently are plentiful) and they found the kid had hid it on a bookshelf which actually had a empty space behind it where it fell. They found the croc after an exhausted search because security was called in.

Yes it was just a croc but what this showed me is that everything is monitored and with that knowledge I feel very safe and sure about entrusting the care if my kids to kids club.

  8. Hope you have a great time and always go with you gut feelings

I know some people don't get it but I am super over protective too.. my biggest fear is probably some huge kidnapping scheme where there is that one crew member in on.. my sister lived in Virginia in a neighbirhoid where a girl went missing and they believed or thought there was foul play at the hand of one of the crew.. granted she was a young adult. I know it's highly unlikely and I am thankful I havent read any true horror stories involving children.. I will definitely be going and getting to know the kids staff. My daughter won't turn three til the second full day of our cruise so I think I will have plenty of time to get a feel for things.. Thank you all for your responses! :)
  9. I have to say that I am prob one of the most paranoid peope when it comes to my children and yes I will admit it .. My husband and I both work in the Criminal Justice field and have seen it all so the thought of leaving my children with someone that I have just met was a very crazy thought to me to say the least. The last cruise we went on in November is the first time we truely left our daughter in the kids club and she LOVED it! I asked the crew 5 million questions and requested to have a pager so if she ever wanted us for any reason they could just page us and we could come right there. (but that never happened) Also I would just drop in from time to time and watch what they were doing ... My daughter would of course have a fit because she thought that we were there to pick her up so I learned to just kinda peak in on her.

Now we are going on the GOS in November and my son will be 3 and we plan to put him in the kids club as well.

The most important thing is that you have to feel comfortable with it and if you don't then you will be stressed the whole time and not have fun. So go on the first day when they have the open house ask a ton of questions then if your kids want to go try it for maybe an hour at a time and ask for a pager. I am sure your kids will love it and you will get to have a little alone time to relax for a bit.

We are currently booked on RCI Enchantment of the Seas and NCL Getaway. So far we have only been on Carnival cruises. Just wondering, has anyone ever had any scary experiences with the kids clubs for ages up to 7 (like children missing or being released to someone else etc..)? I have two that will be in those age groups and before the cruise I start having all sorts of nightmares although we have never had any issues on previous cruises.
  10. I am in the same boat looking for best place to go with 3and 5 yr old

I'm a bit confused still. Is Sea Grapes the same

    as Public/Calico Jacks?

I'm not going until Dec but starting all my reading now. I have 3 kids 3,5,7 so just want a fun day out with them. Would Sea Graps, Public of Royal Palms be better option. We will rent a chair with umbrella so we can relax under while watching kids play.

  11. I never knew about this kyss bag I will be ordering one immediately so wish I would have known about this before. When we were in Jamaica they went through all of our things as soon as we got in the water.

I love this one and one time! Be prepared for a melt down or two.

My advice is make sure she you tell her what she is responsible for ahead of time! I have been a single parent and if she can be responsible for rolling her small luggage bag and a carry on that will be helpful.

It will also help on excursions when you get off the ship if you give her a small beach bag to be in charge of!! Both of my kids have had responsibilities from a young age and it helps make the trip go smoothy. Also teach her to look behind each time she changes locations for items you two may have left!!! We usually loose things when we travel😳. Have so much fun!!

One more thing, I ordered this bag today called a kyss bag so my family can enjoy time in the water together without as much risk of things being taken. You can lock it to your beach chair!! I read about it on here and wish I would have had one for all our trips. That might come in handy for the two of you why you are on the beach!

  12. Can you use it for the same place or does it have to be different places ?

And where do you find it for purchase online ?

the 3 meal package you can purchase online

or on board, they have it available when the ship has a few specialty restaurants. for instance if you purchase this package you can probably dine at 3 places for the price of 2. I did a meal package on Allure back in november. We dined at 4 places and paid for 3

  13. Do you know how much parking is in Baltimore this will be our first time going out of there we usually go out of Bayonne

Yes. We hit some rough water just as we left the Chesapeake Bay on our way to Bermuda, and you could feel the pitch a lot. We had a forward cabin on deck 8, and it was very noticeable. I have no idea how big the waves were, so cannot compare but I would guess it was not nearly as bad as what you hit. I remember going up to WJ and practically having it to myself as so many people stayed in their cabins. It seems that this is a recurring theme - rough seas.

So, Coco Cay was not too crowded with Enchantment there? That is a relief.

Baltimore is so easy to self-disembark and walk to car, so I can believe it. We left our room by 7:30am or so, walked off by 8:30am, and were back at home in Leesburg by 10:30-11:00am. Was the easiest trip home from a vacation ever! lol
