  1. I was down to Gattlenburg/Pidgion Forge, I know of Pattie's hearing difficulties.  There are a couple of dinner shows down there that you and her might enjoy.  The best n IMHO would be Dolly Parton's Stanpead/ witch dals with Horses and such, while the Pirates Show has Aqua animals, and such.   While the Hatfild and McCoy's show is a good one, there is a lot of dialog in it, and not a lot of singing and dancing.  We usaly stay at a small older hotel, with real Keys that has an indoor pool and a Jaccozi inside your room if you are interseted.

It appers that you and Patty had a great time on the Vista. I was on her shortly before the Drydock, and the playlist didn't start preforming until day 4 and they didn't even do full shows, just the concert versions.  Our cruise director was not great and it showed,, but the crew were happy to be going to dry dock, and were very chatty.

In Cozmel there is a nice little allinclusive that is $40 and just past the Royal peir and only takes 50 people at a time, it has a small pool and access to the ocean if you are intrested.

Hope that you and Pattie are doing great and Pattie is healing.

You can book both cruises online by yourself if you wish, but we'll always use our PVP. The most important thing for us when booking a B2B is having the same cabin for both legs. A PVP or TA can see more cabins then you can online, so it makes that process easier. Also, you'll want to make sure that your cruises are linked. If you do book them yourself online, you'll need to call Carnival to link them for you. :classic_cool:

Looking forward to going though the prossess with you and Patty on the Valor

  3. The Elation does the Bahamas run and the 4 day is Freport and Nassau, witch means that there is only one port charge covers both ports so as long as you ported in either Nassau or Freeport they don't have to give you anything back.

  4. You need to have special permission from Carnival, and I don't think they are giving it.  You could just leave the ship, but, you could be given fines onboard the ship and such and banned from all futire Carnival, and carnival corp sailings.

  5. I'm getting a Mitsigurly and jamman review both at the same time, how lucky can we get:) The second leg of your vista cruise, Ann and I had to cancel, becuse of her hospitalation, (still a little sad about that one).  How far out from JAXPORT was the hotel you stayed at?  We are tinking of staying there when we go to get on Elation in dec.  THanks for all the hard work you and Patty do. I kind of know what Patty is going though at Target. I too have feet problems but not to the severity that she does.  I do Spark and Instacart for a living, so I shop at my local Kroger for Instacart and I either get loaded up at Walmart or shop there for SPark, and I take the groceries/items to the customers location.  Patty, you are trooper huggs for you from Ann and I and we'll see you on the Valor next year.

  6. @mitsugirly Kim, the reason that they took the Walk up bar out of the casino, was the smokers would clog the area, not drink, or gamble becuse they didn't want to go up to the outdoor areas. They had that bar around the tornato thing and the smoke would float up to the promanae deck.  They also have a problem now with people going to the casino and sitting at a maching and smoking and not gambling.  From a smokers perspective, I don't like that there is now no inside smoking area. from a former smokers persepective, I still don't like it, it hasn't helped much in the casino, but at least theey are making non smoking casinos away from the smoking ones.  just thought you would want to know why the bar is not there.  enjoying the review and thank you for the hard work you put into there.

On several Journeys cruises we were part of the LCR crowd which numbered around 35 people.

I hope that you and patty are having fun on the Vista.  Enjoy your turnaround day tomarrow, and have another Great Cruise. Looking forward to the epic review.

  8. I have absolutly no compassion for carnival anymore over the debt they incurred durring the shutdown for one reason alone...they have ordered 2 1billion dollar+ ships. Get rid of that debt first then build new ships.

Hello! I'm about to book a cruise on the Carnival Horizon and we want an interior room with 2 single beds (no pull down). Our choices are Floors 1, 2, 6, 7 or 8. Which floor would be the best for this type of room and would it be better to be in the middle or aft of the boat. Thanks if advance for your help!!

If I had to have an interior on Horizon, I would book a cabin on deck 1, if I am able bodied, the reason is when you get back from port it is easy to go up one flight of stairs to get back to your room. Also you can look into a 4J, they are at the front of the ship, and have windows at interor prices. Yes you are looking at the secret deck, but it's almost like having your own baclony.

I’m going to be updating my New Orleans Parking page in the next week which includes park n cruise hotels so I may have a better answer for you then. Without digging any deeper It looks like these are some from my current list that still have packages. Some limit you to 7 or 8 days of parking so not all of them will work for a b2b.

My personal preference is either staying at one of the hotels around Fulton and parking at Fulton or staying out of town and driving in to Fulton. I don’t know where you are coming from but I come from the west so south Baton Rouge works good for me.

If I were coming from the north probably Covington…and I’d be making a trip to the Abita brewery/tasting room.

  11. I would change things a little, Leave Blue Red and Gold as is, then with Plats, Get rid of priority Boarding, but keep early check in, Get rid of the Past guest party Get rid of the 1 drink per person Durring Sea day brunch, and give 2 or 3 vouchers for a free drink of there choice per day.  Add Plat + and add 1 free specilty dining on 5+ day saiings, or Steakhouse Selection on ships w/o specialty dining also 4 free drinks per day.  Dimond would stay the same except 2 specilty dining and 5 free drinks, and Dimond + would be 3 specialty dining, and 6 free drinks per day, and special Lunch with the captian.  JMHO on what should be done.

Hello, my husband has a spinal cord injury and has to have a scooter. Can anyone with experience tell me if the Mardi Gras is easy to navigate with a scooter and does it have sufficient restrooms for a scooter to navigate?

The scooter must meet the with guidelines, along with having to be able to be collapsable The scooter can not stay outside the cabin empty.  Anything over 21 inches must have a accesable cabin.

As for your question, the hallways with rooms are kind of small but a scooter can get though them, and there are at least 1 accesable Bathroom on each public level, aka 5, 6, 7 Lido at least.  Good luck
