I booked direct with Celebrity once.   Since then, my beloved TA has gotten me the best deals with the most perks, including OBC.  I will ALWAYS use a TA! 

I'm okay with whomever chooses to wear a mask, although my DH and will not.  The best additional precaution you may take is using the hand sanitizer every chance you get (they are all over the ship).  I also bring a small bottle of my own to use after touching rails, door knobs, in the casino, etc.  I consider every public area contaminated by one bug or another and this approach works well for me (I am a healthcare worker).   Enjoy your cruise!

Could not agree with this more.  Also have a blackbelt in Six Sigma and did process improvement for years.  I also wish they had someone doing this.  I had an issue with a few things on a recent TA and spoke to the retreat manager and gave her some feedback.  She literally told me she was very impressed with my constructive feedback and at the end of our cruise, we received a considerable FCC.  It's so simple - if only they would get someone to look at the issues they could easily resolve.😂

 

Thank you!  I'm also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and work with a Black Belt and PMP who used to work for RC.  I don't know if they still have any on their team, but hope they might! 

I'm a certified Lean practitioner and wish the cruise lines would use someone like me to help them identify sources of Waste to eliminate the wastes while keeping their customers happy.  I miss the welcome glass of bubbly on embarkation.  I'm all for the option of "Go Green" regarding stateroom cleanliness.  Focusing on what popular items to keep in Oceanview, along with the popular items in Cafe Al Bacio, makes sense to me.  Additionally, making the welcome bottle of bubbly/wine optional for Concierge passengers is great.  Regarding the afternoon canapes for Concierge,   no one likes the ones provided currently, but we all may want cheese and crackers daily (lower food cost).  

I'm sure the crew members have some great ideas for eliminating waste....I would love to hear from them!

Yep!  I was 7 points away from Elite last July 4th, when I called to upgrade our beverage package for our February 2023 cruise.  They gave me the Elite discount, which was great!  

With this month's webinar, I should be at 301 points, which I pray is granted January 14th.  Looking forward to Elite benefits this cruise and Diamond benefits on RC when we cruise in May!

Thanks for this info.  I've always used the valet function at ParknGo without problems.  I hope the above info doesn't happen to us.   

Ours just opened up at 12:01 a.m. as we are now 45 days away from our next sailing.  

I viewed the webinar last night and must say it's the best one I've seen to date for PUP points.  The Japanese guy was entertaining and informative.  I enjoyed Cesar's presentations on his favorite ports, including several of my personal favorites.   

Looking forward to them updating my points January 14th, just in time for our February cruise! 

My DH drives for Uber and Lyft.  He frequently does trips from the Orlando International Airport to the Carnival pier at Port Canaveral.   The process is quick and easy for rideshare drivers.   You can also reserve Uber in advance via their app.

The ParknGo shuttle bus will take all of your luggage with you to the pier.  They drop you off where you can check your large baggage, just outside of the port entry.  

I've parked at the port once.  Since then, it's been ParknGo for me every time!

Last year on Reflection, there was one slot machine I liked that gave good payouts when the casino opened on sea days.  I may be wrong, but I think the random number generators may be programmed for certain times of day when play is slow.  Or, I may have just been very lucky on that cruise.  

Uber and Lyft rides are plentiful from the airport to the port.  You may also want to use their apps to reserve a ride accordingly.  They are very affordable. 

Always stay on ship's time.  If I have an excursion booked in a different time zone, I graph the times for local versus ship and plan accordingly. 

It all depends on which Terminal you will sail from.  We will be on Reflection this February.  She sails from Terminal 29, which is a long way from the nearest parking garage.  If we park at the port, we would need to take a a shuttle from the garage to the Terminal. 

I book Park n Go months in advance of the cruise, and the savings, plus service and convenience, make me a loyal customer!

We did a bungalow on Labadee and loved it.  I wanted to do the Dragon Coaster, but didn't get a chance on our last visit. 

The Oasis Lagoon cabana was a great experience for us as well.  There is definitely a loud, party atmosphere at the pool.  The water was freezing cold and the line at the swim up bar ridiculous.  

Next cruise, we are opting for the CoCo Beach Club.  That may be the tie-breaker in my mind.  

My DH doesn't like seafood, so we did not dine at The Porch last November on our Reflection cruise.  I hope he will be willing to try in when we sail again in February, since they feature a few non-seafood items like the wings and burger.  

I did the parking garage at PE on my 1st Celebrity cruise.  That confirmed my decision to use ParknGo from then on.  I've used ParknGo for the last four cruises out of PE and love them!  

I just logged on to both RC and Celebrity and updated my purchases where bargains apply.  The RC website took some diligence because the Cart totals kept changing on me.  I saw no real benefits for my Celebrity February cruise.  

RC and Celebrity Cruise Planners are still down.  My guess is they are uploading early Black Friday deals.  Can't wait to see what they offer! 

I have an earlier version of the SafeGo safe and love it!  I lock it to two beach chairs or some other unmoveable item, like a grounded pole that would take a long time to dig out unnoticed.   I carry my phone in a waterproof waist bag.  It has three different ziplocs that are fastened after folding the bag closed.  

In port (and even on the ship) carry your cross body purse in front of you with a hand on it.  NEVER hang your purse over the back of a chair when dining.

Me too!  I am now only 4 points away from Elite.  Praying to earn them by our February cruise!  Too bad we can't get the points until we complete the next cruise.
