  1. When we were on Regatta a few years ago they also offered turkey and pumpkin pie for Canadian Thanksgiving which is next weekend.Whenwe we’re on Rivera last year for American Thanksgiving there was turkey in all venues and the following day they started with Christmas decorating!

  2. PreCovid we did a tour with Spain Day tours .They picked us up at the ship when we disembarked and did a personalized tour for 4 people in a taxi. The driver spoke excellent English and took us all over the city as well as up to Monserrat and dropped us off at our hotel at the end of the day. They also brought us to the airport 3 days later. Their rates were very competitive and they answer emails very promptly

  3. We have now done 10 transatlantic crossings. Weather has varied from very calm on our recent Riviera crossing to 60foot swells on Insignia 5years ago while trying to avoid a hurricane.  The weather seemed more unsettled in the Spring.I also prefer east to west as you get extra sleep!! The size of the ship didn’t seem to matter. The smallest was Royal Olympic the largest the Grand Princess

  4. We were on the Riviera trans Atlantic on Nov17th and did one cooking class. The only difference was there was only one person per station so as I was with my husband we had 2 stations and twice the amount of food to taste!   Don’t book a specialty Restaurant that night

  5. We are on this cruise as well and are Canadian. We applied about a month ago on a Sunday evening and it was posted by Monday evening. As others have said go to manage this booking then you will see cruise credits. Then you click on view credits and it drops down and itemizes your credits. We received $153.50 each Canadian

  6. We were also told no perks but they showed up when we got on board. The thing you have to look out for is the cost of your extra days Try for only 1 extra day if possible as they prorate it on the full brochure price you know the one no one pays!.That’s why it is better to try for a 12 or 14 day cruise Enjoy!

  7. No shuttles neede in Rhodes,Patmos or Mykonos as you dock downtown. There was a shuttle in Crete Ephesus is quite a drive from Kusadasi and best done on a ship’s or private tour. In Alanya there are taxis which take you up the hill to the fort The price is per taxi so share. I don’t remember if there was a shuttle in Paphos as we took a tour.

  8. We used a company called Spain day tours in many ports in Spain and Portugal and had super tours. In Barcelona we were picked up at the port toured around the main sights and then up to Monserrat before returning to the port. You can do a tour for 2-4 people in a taxi or 12-16 in a minibus

  9. We were in Cartagena in October. They cruise terminal is now revamped and surrounded by a nature park with lots of beautiful birds .After spending quite a while ex ploring this area you exit an area where there very lots of taxis offering rides to the old city or tours around the area. We had a 3 hour tour of all the main sights with lots of time to wander for $60 split 4 ways as we met up with another couple on board. We had already been to Cartagena so could direct the driver where we wanted to go but he was very helpful and made some great suggestions

  10. Just back from Middle East Cruise on Nautica In Valetta there was a free boat shuttle across the harbour as there were a lot of ships docked In Limassol there was a shuttle. No shuttle in Rhodes as you are docked downtown. In Haifa no shuttle on Sat but there was one on Sunday. In Sharm el Sheik there was a shuttle bus to a resort area and in Safaga,Egypt there was a shuttle downtown. There was a shuttle in Aqaba, Jordan as well. There is a shuttle to the Souk in Salalah, Oman and also in Muscat. And there is a shuttle from the port to the Dubai Mall in Dubai. Hope this helps

  11. Thanks Heather for your updates. I am so happy things are back to normal for the staff and crew as they were getting exhausted. We were on BTB cruises from 02/02 to 02/22 so lived (healthy) through the whole experience . Although it was an inconvenience I do not think Qceania could have done any better. The vast majority of people co-operated very well but of course there were those who didn't. When we got off on Miami there were multiple cleaning crews boarding to help the regular crew clean. That was cruise 15 and 16 for us on Oceania and we booked 17 and 18. We have also cruised on many other lines and have full confidence in Oceania. As I work in the health field I know how ubiquitous Noro is especially in the Winter. Enjoy the rest of your cruise

  12. Just back from BTB Barcelona to Venice here are the shuttle details. Valencia shuttle to old town same in Palma de Mallorca. We missed Marseille due to high seas. Hop on hop off bus is right by tender dock in Monte Carlo so we took it as transportation as it is every 15mins. Missed Portofino but docked in Genoa no shuttle but two tour bus options Make sure you get the HOHO if you want to get on and off as the other company only has one stop. In La Spezia you are right in town There was a free shuttle in both Livorno and Civitavecchia, There was a free shuttle in Sorrento. In Taormina we took a cab. It was 25 euro each way per cab and was well worth it as we were a group of 4. In Argostli you are docked right in the downtown area as you are in Kotor In Zadar there was a free shuttlebus but a cab was only 20Euro and if there is a long wait for a shuttle it was worth it in. There was no need to get Kuna they took euros. In Koper there is a free elevator to the old town and it is about 50yards from the ship. In Venice we were right by a vaporetto or Agiluna stop both of which stopped at St Marks square . We took it to Murano as there were 7 ships in and St Marks was very crowded, It was 18 Euro round trip
