We are sailing on SOS February 2019 and just have a question. I understand room service meals now carry a charge. Has anyone gotten continental breakfast delivered to your cabin? Is there a charge? Can you order items for continental breakfast or is it a set "menu?"
Thank you

I recommend you CHANGE CABINS.

Too late. No cabins left in the area we want to book. My husband & I and my brother-in-law are in our early 70’s so I don’t think any wild parties will be going on.
-
We booked a cabin that adjoins to my brother-in-law and his wife. I am now questioning my decision. For those that have booked this type of cabin will it interfere their privacy (or ours) as far as sound?
TIA

We had 375ml bottles delivered to our room on our last cruise on Princess. It sure was nice having Happy Hour on our balcony.
-
We are sailing on Serenade of the Seas next February. Our cabin is 9098 which is 4 cabins behind the midship bump out. Does anyone know whether this will be an obstructed view.
TIA

Phone reps are notorious for giving false information.
Thought it was too good to be true. I even asked if I could consume it while on board. She said, "Sure. Just ask your room steward and they will deliver it to your room."

I checked Royal Gifts for RCI and the liquor selection to be delivered to your room is a very limited selection. I spoke with a representative from RCI and she told me that once on the ship I could order different liquors to be delivered to the room for "In room only consumption :D". Does anyone know if this is true? Vodka was not offered in the Royal Gift selection. We are vodka and tonic people.

Do you realize that chargers have become standardized for cell phones and tablets? My husband and I bring one charger for 2 phones and 2 tablets. Unless you have some different hardware, just check the male end of the charger and if it is the same as any other, it will work on all of the devices.
I bring one for our phones and my Kindle. I have a separate one for my Ipad since the male end is different.

Drop off backpacks, put valuables in safe, then head up for 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and a Seawitch IPA. Take picture of same to send to my friends back home. I'm mean.
What a great idea! I have a feeling I will do a photo shoot to be mean as well.

"Named for our Master Chef, Alfredo Marzi and voted 'Best Pizza at Sea' by USA TODAY, this charming sit-down venue offers an enticing menu of freshly prepared individual-size pizzas along with beer and wines by the glass. The open kitchen design allows you to watch as the chefs create pizza by hand and serve them straight out of the oven."
Unfortunately, I don't see one on the Coral deck plans.
Thank you very much for your response. Oh well, I am sure I will be able to find a little something to eat on the Coral. ;)

Loving your review/blog TLCOhio. We will be on the Coral in 2 weeks. Although our itinerary will be a little different this gives us an insight of ours. Can't wait to see what you have to say regarding Cartagena. We have a private tour arranged for our stop there.

 Wow! After all of this, did Scomar's question get answered? Loved the discussion. Cheers everyone!

We go to Crown Grill and make reservations for the week, then off to Alfredo's or International Cafe for a bite and our first vacation drink...ahhh...it won't be long now! 😎
I asked this once before but got no response. What/where is Alfredo's on the ships? We will be on the Coral in a couple of weeks. Is it Sabatini's during lunch? Is there a charge for lunch?
TIA

Sorry, I don't know the answer to questions 1 & 3 . Yes, the balcony partitions can be opened. Last time we were on the Coral we traveled as a group and our room steward opened them for us.
It was great having "Happy Hour" on the balcony before going to dinner. Better than the group crowding in someone's cabin.

There is usually an ATM in the casino
Thank you very much. We have previously been on the Coral but it has been quite awhile ago. Couldn't remember. :)
-
I know this is a silly questions but....Does anyone know if there an ATM machine on the Coral? Wanted to know just in case I would need it.
TIA

Sorry about my triplicate posting. Each time I tried to post I was getting an error message from the server.:o:o:o

The last Princess cruise we took we brought on two of the Black Boxes of wine and they were not confiscated.
Wow! Did you have these 2 Black Box wines in your carry-on or in your checked baggage? We put a 5L box in our checked baggage one time on a RCCI cruise. They did not confiscate it but did leave us a "naughty, naughty" letter in our suitcase.

I also have not read every page of this thread but there is one thing that I have not seen in the last few pages.
My husband has had a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and because of this he does not tolerate extreme heat or extreme cold. When we went to Disney World last June (Yes, I know crazy to go in the heat of June) we took one of those sport cooling towels. It really helped him weather the heat.
We are going on a cruise to the Panama Canal next month and it is already with our must take items.

I am actually more excited than the first cruise because I didn't know what to expect then but now I know just how fantastic cruising is. :D
My DH doesn't get nearly as excited about the cruise as I do until he's on the ship.
I think I could talk about cruising 24/7!
I feel the same. My parents took all of us (4 children) and our spouses on our first cruise for THEIR 50th anniversary. Nice huh! We didn't know what to expect but it sure got us hooked.
I get super excited for each and every cruise. I usually start planning what I'm going to wear, what I'm going to take, what shore excursions I want to take, etc. as soon as we book.
I am particularly excited this time because a couple are going with us that have never cruised. 34 days and you can bet I am on a countdown. :)

Zugunruhe :)
Perfect word for what many of us feel. :)

Thank you very much for the info.
We like to have coffee and just a bite to eat on our balcony. Then when everyone is ready we head to the Windjammer for breakfast. Just need that coffee to get me going . 😀
