I am glad NCL stepped up but I still don't understand why they are not refunding for insurance. It's not like any one used the insurance that they paid for. It should be counted just like paid gratuities, etc.

NCL needs to do this and include all March cruises.

It would be great if they put this cancellation policy into effect.

If I was already booked I would still go. I was supposed to book a last minute cruise for the end of March but decided not to because of the virus. Enjoy your cruise.

I do know about the 5 day cruises but somehow I always forget that since most of the time we book 7+ day cruises. They never mention it when you purchase them. You gave us a good reminder.

Grab a drink and head to MDR.

We are going on a river cruise with Viking in August (in additional to our NCL cruise in April), Just received an email from them saying we can cancel up to 24 hours prior to the cruise without penalties and reschedule within the next 2 years. Pretty amazing to get that but I guess that is the sign of the times. No intention of cancelling anything at this time, personally.
Very impressive of Viking.

I always make sure to check my balance. Glad you got it straightened out.

Surprised they haven't offered Unlimited Medical Center Access as a perk.
This would be a great perk, lol

Curious to see what comes out of this meeting.

Don't usually bring my Kindle but would want it if I was quarantined. Extra detergent so I can hand wash my clothes.

We were planning a last minute cruise for the end of March. Now I am thinking it's not worth it. I can't imagine being quarantined for all those weeks if it was to happen. In January 2018 we were on a cruise that many of the passengers came down with the flu. Worrying if one of us would get it next did take some of the enjoyment from the cruise. Fortunately I didn't get the flu till I got home even thou I had the flu shot. Don't think I want to go through that again.

Is this only a 50 cent per day increase?
Sent from my iPhone using ForumsPer day per person.

Great review!

Unfortunately I think we are going to see a lot more of this where passengers are not allowed off the ship.

Same price online or on the ship.

When I make my reservation I always request for the beds to be separated unfortunately they never are. I leave a note for cabin steward to separate them when they do turn down.

I don't normally drink wine at dinner. Can you ask for an unopened bottle and bring it back to your cabin?

Sorry you missed St. Thomas. Hope weather doesn't get too bad for your sail back.

There are some countries that enforce the 6 month rule. I found this article when I was researching whether I should worry about my passport: https://www.uspassporthelpguide.com/six-months-validity-rule/
I ended up driving to Miami to apply for an expedited passport since my trip in March would have overlapped the six months prior to expiration.
Thank you for posting link.

Why can't they print the rules in small lettering on the bottom of the menu.

So what are you all going to whinge about now?!
Nothing, I'm not even on this cruise. Just stating what should have been done so these passengers didn't have to stress over it.
Great time to book a cruise!!
