  1. I just noticed this post and realized my plans might be affected by this strike. I am traveling by train from Southampton to Waterloo on the morning of Friday August 11 and returning later the same day. If I am reading it right there will at least be hourly service. Is that correct? Any advice on what I should do? Should I seek other transportation?
  2. Yes it did. I read another post about this issue and someone said to delete your Captains Club number and then add it back to your account. That fixed it for me. Sorry this reply is so late. I just saw it.
  3. It has happened to me and several others. I posted about it last week. My account still isn’t fixed. It’s frustrating.
  4. Thank you for the update. It appears they are aware of the problem. I was going to call tomorrow but I will wait and see if they fix the problem.
  5. Did you have any luck in getting the problem resolved? My account isn’t fixed yet. I have put off calling them. I thought I would give them until Monday. Hopefully they will get it fixed and save me the headache of the phone call.
  6. Yes it happened to me too. I posted about it here yesterday. My tier level on the website was Classic with zero points even though I am elite. I was going to call but waited since other people reported having a problem too. My account is still not fixed today. I dread calling them so I was hoping they would fix it.
  7. I also had the ‘can’t find an internet connection’ message. I hope they fix it soon.
  8. Now my points and tier level are missing on the app. I’ll wait to see if they fix it before calling. Thanks for the advice!
  9. I have that same message when I look at my upcoming cruises page but my profile page says 0 points and classic.
  10. Yes Captain’s Club number is correct. Also checked the app and it has my correct tier and point level so looks like it is a website error.
  11. I am Elite but when I log into my Celebrity account online it shows me as Classic with zero points. I am going to call them later when I have time but I was just curious if anyone else is having this problem
  12. I have checked with my credit card and no refund has been posted. I suppose I will have to bite the bullet and call Blue Chip and Celebrity again. Maybe I will get lucky and get someone who can help me figure out where my $58 went.
  13. They took it off of my reservation a day or so after I hit the 45 days left before the cruise. Until then it was listed as valid on my reservation. Funny thing is they now have the option to add it onto my cruise again. Blue Chip did tell me you can’t buy the cruise care for the comped cruises but no reason was given. She said the system probably kicked it out. They need to tell Celebrity because they were the ones who encouraged me to buy it in the first place.
  14. I appreciate the insurance suggestions and will look into the policies mentioned. I don’t know if I will ever see the $58 I paid for the cruise care. My reservation was showing a $58 dollar credit but that has now disappeared. I have called both Celebrity and Blue Chip and neither of them can find any record of me paying it or a refund being issued. Both said they couldn’t help me in the matter. I did print the reservation info I received after booking the cruise care policy so I have proof it was on my reservation at one time. I also have a record through my credit card. It’s frustrating that I had to find out about this through cruise critic. I have had no communication from Celebrity or Blue chip informing me that I wasn’t covered.
