That's awful. Sounds like you need a new cc company.
-
Have always received refunds within a week, but things may be different now. I would call them if it doesn't show up within 30 days of cancellation. And most certainly put a stop with your card company.
-
Yes but this is a new company and may not be on their radar. I would call them.

Are you sure you're not getting your cruises mixed up? The one we were on was 0205 and I think the Azipod problem was a Serenity cruise you were on with your parents. Come to think of it, Symphony does not have pods.
Roy
We were on that cruise in 2010 and the typhoons were behind us by Sydney, or so I thought. We did not go all the way to Perth on that one.

Awesome photo.
No worries if you posted it before. My guess is if you posted it last week most on this board would not remember.

To your questions Genting spent way too much money. If you think that was to make Crystal great you are wrong. They went into too many things too quickly. Remember the airplane. Remember the old ship? Remember Esprit? They owned Esprit. Spent a fortune. But it was limited where it could sail. They also came up with design after design for new ships and ended up wasting a lot of time and money with nothing.
Just investing a lot of money means nothing. I was with a company that was bought by another company who has some similarities with Genting. They wasted a lot of money and made poor decisions and didn't listen. And in the end they got what they deserved. If Gentiing was USA based maybe they would have gotten what they deserved.
So it goes.
Back to the laundry.
Don't forget the USS United States fiasco!

We get unlimited included laundry on another line. While we do send some items out, ones we know will have no issues, my husband still does some items himself as they require special care. On crystal, we didn’t use the laundry service and my husband did our laundry and I did too…never did it much. He even does his own laundry at home! 😀. We utilized pressing and dry cleaning on crystal as well as the current line we are sailing whether it’s included or not.
nancy
I still don't get the expectation that laundry/dry cleaning should be included. Some people use it way more than others, and if you were home, you pay for sending out laundry/dry cleaning. What resort or hotel would include it? If it's available it would be twice the price at the least.

And full disclosure I am very happy to do the laundry on the ship. On other lines we brought enough laundry not to do it because in general facilities were very small and crowded on Crystal we have made sone dear friends from chance encounters in the laundry room. So now you know.
Keith
DH is wonderful about the laundry - it goes in on his way to the fitness center - into the dryer on the way back, and out after his shower and backin the room for me to fold. Easy schmeazy.

Every 10 days means I would have to pack way more than I want to. I think I would rather pack light and do a couple of trips to the laundry room or actually pay to send things out.

For us, having sailed Crystal since 1995, the ship is our destination. We really don't care what the itinerary is.😎

That's right, the in-suite fridges are meant to keep drinks cold, but they are not cold enough to reliably prevent the buildup of bacteria in leftovers.
What are leftovers?🤣

Another short video of the Symphony! it's a teaser but so exciting. Sharing the facebook link:
It would be nice to see this but for the FB requirement. I don't do FB, any other link for us peons?

How weird! I'll bet they only counted the few tables right in the actual grill area on Symphony.

I hear you but the ships' queens are wider (maybe not longer) than land based queens. We didn't bump bums so to speak.

So what's the deal with the spelling of Aurōra? Why the "long o" ? Sounds weird to me! Why not just Aurora? Too normal?

Whatever the queen size is, it feels almost as wide as our king at home......

We did not do Australia in '05 but distinctly remember the 2 typhoons in 2010. Age (?!!!) does terrible things to our memory🤯
