Im glad you’re onboard and have safely left port. Wishing clear skies for your journey!
If the app is correct, you have Eddie Jenkins as your cruise director..we’ve had him before and he was wonderful. If you get a chance can you see if he’ll still be on for the May 24th sailing? TIA!

The app is correct…We had Eddie for the B2B that finished 4/18.  I believe he joined the ship very recently so he should still be around on 5/24.

    Finally sailing day! 😀😃🙂

Unfortunately weather forecast predicts rain this afternoon for sailaway...we will see.

We booked an Uber for 10:00 as Port Everglades predicted a lot of traffic die to 4 cruise ships in port.

Rain was in the forecast for both 4/4 and 4/8 sailaways…fortunately, the weatherman was wrong!  Both afternoons were sunny but a bit windy.  Either way, you are on a beautiful ship beginning your adventure.

    Bon Voyage.

@lola2013 would you care to share any feedback on the ship?  Thanks!

The entire trip was great.  It was our first cruise on Silhouette (having sailed on other S class in addition to E class)…the first four nights with friends we met on our very first cruise on the Cunard Countess.  A few in the group hadn’t sailed since then and were thrilled with the Celebrity experience.  The second ten nights was family and friends…a girls cruise that didn’t disappoint.  Food was great; everyone in both groups raved about the food.  We did both main dining room and ocean view for dinner, OVC for breakfast…only specialty was Lawn Club Grill which was delicious.  Service throughout the ship was exceptional…smiling, happy faces throughout.  The ship was spotless; I switched cabins after the four night.  Same deck 8, but first a balcony cabin mid ship and then a SV.  Both cabin attendants did a great job.  Entertainment was great… especially Charity Lockhart, a great singer, and Ralph Harris, a comedian.  Only disappointment was there was no Liars Club.  I’m not a drinker so can’t comment on beverages.  Check in was a breeze as was the turnaround day.

    Can’t wait to return!

  4. Primanti Brothers.  We found it by mistake a few years back and now it is our “go to”.  A slice after hotel check in (we stay at the Hilton Gallery One on Sunrise…right next door to the Galleria Mall).  Come out of the hotel and head toward the beach…cross the inter coastal bridge…right turn onto A1A…maybe a block down on the right side of the street.  It is certainly not fancy...cash only…we like to sit outside and watch the surf.  You know coming from Chicago how great that can be.  We also have breakfast there before catching an Uber to the port on embarkation day.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. 🍕

Have not done this on Celebrity but have read bring 4 and they will hold 2 until the last night of the first cruise, then return them to you. Easier by far than going to Publix between cruises.

Publix on Sunrise Blvd is close to our favorite pizza 🍕 spot so we can pick up anything else we need.

  6. We begin a B2B next week.  Since the cruises are separate bookings, we are presuming we can bring two for each cruise rather than 4 at once.  We plan to get off the ship on turnaround day and can run to Publix for a refill!  Not sure if that’s correct…..perhaps someone has better info.

  7. Great review.  We board Silhouette on 4/4 for a B2B…SV for several in our group.  One couple booked ocean view cabin right off the Grand Foyer.  Hopefully the loud music won’t disturb them. 💤

I’m happy to hear how quickly embarkation was…we are anxious to get the adventure started.

Yes.  Was very easy to book for lunch, or dinner.  Lunch is specialty burgers..And they were..Great steaks at dinner too..Turnaround day you get a transit pass and can leave with the walkoffs as soon as ship is cleared after docking, as some have excursions booked in Ft L for the day. Buffet is open at 6am for breakfast giving you plenty of time..earlier the better as it will pack out.  Enjoy

Thanks for all the info.  We love the LCG burger…enjoyed it on Reflection.

So glad you had a great time!

  9. Wow…I didn’t think I could get any more excited about my upcoming Silhouette B2B!!!  We will be doing the same itineraries with the exception of Tortola instead of Martinique.

…a couple of quick questions please.

Were you able to book LCG for lunch once you boarded?  We have dinner booked for the first night of the longer cruise and definitely plan lunch for one of the sea days.
We plan to leave the ship on turnaround day after going through customs.  Do you know how early we can do that?  Hoping to have a quick breakfast at OVC, move the contents of our safe to the new cabin and go.  No later than 8:30am is the goal so we can run to a few favorite spots on A1A and return to the ship.

Thanks again for the great review…I think it’s time to pack!  27 days and counting.

    Susan 😎
