Any suggestions. Many of the resorts have day room s but will want you to vacate by 5 pm - 6 pm to allow enough time for the room to be cleaned and ready for that night. Prices very from $100 - $200 for a day room. Personally I rent a car for the day and then drop it off at the airport around 9:00 pm. This allows us to drive around the island, explore and last minute shopping while are bags a safe in a keyed trunk. Make sure you lock the access door from the back seat. 5HappyCampers Posted September 10, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) We disembarked from the ship and spent 7 hours sitting on the floor at airport. It was hot and miserable! They don't open the airport access to the gates until 2 hours prior to the flight. I would recommend renting a car and driving around the island or getting a room for the day.
