Charlatan16 Posted January 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2018 We are going to Cabo for a week in June and thinking about extending a week and checking out La Paz. Anyone have advice or recommendations for La Paz? Hotels? There are a bunch of nature-type tours including whales, sea lions, and desert -- but hard to sort them out -- especially, what would be best in June/July? Any advice will be appreciated, Thanks
SadieN Posted January 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2018 We’ve only done port stops in La Paz. We’ve checked out the Church and the museum across the plaza. We eat at the Mercado de Loza, corner of Santos Degollado and Revolucion de 1910. (There’s a transportation stop here). We’ve had many good meals in the food court and around the corner are a few Churro stands. In the outside (east side) there are many piñata candy stores. We’ve done a tour that went to a weaver’s, a ceramics factory and a glass blower. We’ve also swam with whale sharks but they’ll be gone by June. Look for Blue Footed Boobies. La Paz and Loreto are at the top of their range. Saw some in Loreto a few years ago. It’ll be hot in June.
bobnsofi Posted January 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2018 extremely warm in June/July, dry desert heat, we would think... enjoying a beautiful pool and air conditioning in Cabo browsing about would be best done at morning and evening, La Paz is dull in nice winter weather, no way La Paz in summer for us
