2 week cruise to Hawaii in October

I am considering booking a 2 week cruise to Hawaii in October leaving from Long Beach and was wondering what the weather would be like for the first and last couple of days. Will it be too cool to be outside without long sleeves? I don't want to spend 4 out of 14 days inside. Thoughts?

There is no way to predict what the temps will be. You could be chased out of port by, or arrive back into, a Santa Ana wind event...so it will be pleasantly warm.

Just no way to tell. We don't know what temps require long sleeves for you- I rarely wear them in October. The coldest winter months only.
