PacPrincess replacing DawnPrincess Down Under?

It has been reported on the Princess boards that Princess will be placing Pacific Princess Down Under for 6 months, rather than the previously announced Dawn Princess.

At this point only rumor, but . . . .

Have you Aussies heard anything to that effect?

On the Australian P&O site it has Pacific Princess cruising out of Sydney from November 2005 till April 2006.

Dawn was due to come here then and undertake a season of cruising out of Australia,including the Circle Australia Voyage,which sold out as soon as it opened.

I booked that cruise but yesterday was advised that it will now be undertaken by Pacific Princess,and to cater for demand she will do 2 Circle Australia Voyages, one in Nov 06 and the other in Feb 07.

Her other cruises are yet to be announced.

Thats all I know at this stage.

It now appears that the reported swap is a "done deal".
