Harvest Caye Snorkeling

Does anyone know if there is any snorkeling directly off the beach? We usually bring our own equipment, and was wondering if there was anything worth seeing. Our kids are just beginners, so we don't need anything extraordinary, just something to do. TIA!!!

Nothing worth while. I tried directly out of the beach and over by the rocks near the dock; practically nothing to see. I did get stung by a jellyfish though!

Don't bring your equipment unless going to another snorkel destination. Still nothing to see from the beach as of last week.

Just curious if anyone else has had experience snorkeling on their own at Harvest Caye or what you’d recommend?

As stated above, I tried snorkeling all along the beach area at Harvest Caye, including near the rocks by the pier (since fish often hang around rocky areas). Practically nothing to be seen; maybe a few very dull looking fish.

Apparently there were jelly fish though, as I got stung. Really, the most blah snorkeling I've ever done. It's just not an area with any fish, coral or anything interesting.
