Premier Cruise-Good or Bad Idea?

My husband and I have booked an upcoming premier cruise on the Pride. We are SUPER excited to go. However, I have been wondering if it is going to be MORE smokey than normal sailings and will I get to play the machines-or wait in line??

I realize we receive all the freebies and contests but is it really worth it or have we made a mistake???

I sailed a premier cruise and really did not have trouble getting on a machine. If smoke bothers you then you may have an issue. I don't think it was too smokey but I'm tolerant of it. Now the machines I have to say we're tighter than tight!!

My DH and I could not win a dime to play with. But hey, you might have that Golden Horseshoe. Don't fret too much about it and enjoy the perks and excitement.

Jan 4th Premiere Casino Cruise! It was awesome fun. We actually won between the three of us and made tons of new friends.

The casino was incredibly smoky - I smoke so it didn't bother me - I did notice (at the tables) that most of us always had a cigarette going. Also, busy is not the word I would use for the machines - on several occasions I noticed folks waiting for machines.

Ours was a particularly large casino crowd, but we had so much fun - the ship is great! The itinerary is getting old for us as we have done it about 4 times with the 5th coming up in May. We didn't get off the ship in two of the ports and opted to just relax on the ship. We were not alone as many others did the same.

All in all - wonderful fun - crowds and smoke doesn't bother us.

I have NEVER heard of so many Premier cruises being offered(me included). I'm not sure I completely understand the rational unless they are really making BIG profits in the casino. Tom

The casino made a few dollars on me the last cruise.

My other half always wins. I love the premier cruises I don't spend as much as my other half does so I never get the drinks on us card as he gets but the goodies he shares with me. I heard that since I am booked with him on a premier cruise that I finally will get the drinks on us card even though I don't have the points to get one myself...I just wonder where you get the card some people say its waiting in your stateroom and others say at the casino cage...also my other half is getting $900 cash from the casino on the cruise! I only get 50 lol.

I don't think they stiffen up the machines much on these casino cruises, perhaps certain nights to ensure the casino meets its quota they must not be that stiff otherwise people just go to Vegas. So I think?

I wondered about all of these same things before we went on our first Premier cruise over New Years. It ended up being a lot of fun. Yes, it was busy. I could always get a machine, but the really popular ones were usually full. The tables stayed very busy also, but DH managed to play quite a bit. The machines paid out pretty good the first night as usual. After that they seemed much tighter than usual for the rest of the cruise.

The drink cards were in our cabin when we embarked. I also had the schedule for the week of premier activities and two drink cups. The invite to the cocktail party was also there.

I won a free excursion during one of the drawings. It said up to $200, but I told them that I had already booked and paid for my excursion and they refunded the full $260 that I had paid to my sail and sign account. I got picked in another drawing and I think we estimated that I won about $600 total in cash and prizes.

We liked it so much that we booked another Premier cruise in April.

Thats great the drinks on us cards are in the cabins and so is the schedule and you did pretty well I think with the cash and prizes. That was very nice of Carnivals casino to give you the refund for your shore excursion, again, Carnival Casino treats people very well that work for it of course lol.

Which ship did you book in April? We booked the Valor as you can see blow here.

We are on the Conquest. We have 2 kids in school so since we already had the Breeze booked when the new Premier list came out, we chose the Conquest because it is during their Spring break.

Totally understand. We usually get the free offers but the past two years we traveled a bit more than we have in the past, so every time my PVP would call me with the offer I had another trip around that time or during that time so never wasn't able to get one until now. We canceled the Oasis of the Seas for May so we can go to southern caribbean and called my PVP who told us my other half qualifies for the premier cruise special, needless to say we booked it up lol.

Question, do you feel these premier cruises that the casino's are more tight? Just curious what you and others feel about this.
