stlrboo Posted May 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2004 Quick review as my Sweetie is busy getting caught up, and will write a detailed review as soon as she gets the time. We were booked through Carnival, and sailed on April 17 on the Triumph. Were met in our cabin with a letter from the Senor MaitreD, informing us of the time scheduled for the ceremony, place, etc., as well as an invite to meet with the Wedding Coordinator the next day to go over final details. Tania Milinkovic, Assistant MaitreD, was our coordinator, and was very friendly and helpful. We had not opted for the 'video', but a photographer was provided, who also was our 'escort' from and returning to the ship. She too was very hospitable and friendly, and spent the entire day with us. Her name was Crisan Anita Erika, and I would hope that anyone who sails the Triumph in the next several months tells her Dave and Denise say "HI"! Her tour is over soon with Carnival, and she is returning to Romania to be with her husband. The final cost for 'pics' was either a package, or 'by the picture'. We opted for the 'by the picture' which saved us a little, but the cost was really a lot more than I had expected. I believe I would do the video the next time, though it is nice to have a full album of pics. Plus the numerous portraits which were included, as well as a CD and two 16X20 prints on canvas. She also made several 'custom' photos which were really lovely! Wedding at the 'falls' was absolutely beautiful. Jasmine Fuller of Island Dream Weddings handled the on-shore arrangements and did a wonderful job. From a vintage Cadillac up to the falls with Martin our 'driver', to a guide to explain the foilage, etc. We have so many pictures to upload and be able to post. Minister was Garland Black and was great.. Can't say enough about the experience!! I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but I'm guessing the next one will be our 25 year renewal, so another 'wedding' is out of the question. Cake and champagne/flutes were included, cake cutting, license signing. Just a beautiful day! I'd highly recommend Island Dream Weddings as well as Carnival for your special day! Sorry I got carried away with this, but it just started to flow. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. 'nu2cruise417' is my lovely bride, and hopefully she will also be able to help me field any questions. I married my best friend in OchoRios, April 22! MandyGirl Posted May 19, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2004 Great! Yes, those are the ones we did a tour of - I couldn't remember the name of it until you said it. Beautiful area!! I'm so glad things went well for you two, and many congratulations!! ~ Mandy
stlrboo Posted May 20, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 20, 2004 I'm only guessing, but we were way up the hill. I'm guessing to just about the top... The 'Falls' that people climb must be further down the mountain. Sure couldn't climb the ones in the background of where we were married! I married my best friend in OchoRios, April 22!
