Taylor95 Posted July 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2018 I know many beaches in the Caribbean are suffering with huge amounts of seaweed this year, but I haven’t seen anything mentioned about the Bahamas. Is Nassau or the private island Half Moon Cay having any issues? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
kelmic68 Posted August 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Hi there...did you ever find an answer to this? I'm considering a cruise and concerned as well. Came back from Punta Cana weeks ago and the seaweed was bad. Would like to avoid that situation again if possible.
pacruise804 Posted August 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Posters often mention that Bahamas are not part of the Caribbean (although sometimes listed on the Eastern itineraries). Hopefully this means we won't have the seaweed issues on our cruise next month that the Caribbean is having.
Taylor95 Posted August 21, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted August 21, 2018 I did not receive any info unfortunately, but did read today that Grand Turk had a lot of seaweed also ☹️. We leave next month for our cruise - I will try to remember to report back. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

We went to the mega triton shipwreck and the beach was absolutely amazing a few feet from there. Wouldn’t swim in front of Jacks last week.
