was the Las Caletas a private tour or from the Star? we are taking this cruise next Christmas and Las Caletas is not offered by the ship. We are in PV on Christmas Eve and I thought that was why but you were there Christmas Day even more of a special day.

Las Caletas requires you to book through the ship. It is still really early for the shore excursions to show up. Some of ours (Mazatlan) didn’t show up until 40 days till sail.

It is a popular excursion, it will be available.

Another great review!

Yay for the $600 win in the casino! All the food looked great. Moderno especially - I love those fried plantains.

I was really interested in your train journey home. I live in LA and wanted to take the train up to Seattle for our upcoming cruise. The boyfriend said no way - he thought he'd get bored. So the compromise was to splurge on first-class tickets on Alaska Air - thanks for sharing the details on the lounges in SEATAC. I will have to look up the details on the LAX Alaska Air lounges.

The train is fun, but it can get boring. We went to Chicago from Seattle a few years ago, so we knew what to expect.

Definitely take advantage of the lounge if flying 1st class. We normally will get to the airport 3hrs ahead, just so we can enjoy the lounge and unwind after security.

Thanks for reading and commenting!
