To Upgrade or Not?

There is a promotion going on now where I can upgrade to a 9C (wrap around balcony) from an 8E (standard balcony on Panorama Deck) for $234.60.

Would you go for it or not? :confused:

is it per person or total? how many days are you sailing?

We just got back from a trip on the Destiny where we were upgraded to a 9C (stateroom 8333) and we LOVED IT.

I am now completely spoiled. The space was fantastic, being able to have a wide range view was great, and the extra windows for the room put it over the top.

That amount is the total upgrade cost and it is a 6 day cruise.

That sounds like an awesome deal, I'd do it for sure, but first check and see what is above and below the room, it may be a noisy room.

For a total amount we would do it.

Personally I wouldn't. I could think of hundreds of things I could put that +$200 towards.

Our room was below the lido deck, and I was concerned about the noise. Just so happened it was the adults only pool, so we lucked out. The only noise we noticed was when someone would drag a chair across the floor, and that died down by midnight when we were still up and didn't start again until about 8 am. So, we had plenty of sleep.

I'd be ok under the adults pool, but we were under the buffet once, it was a 6am wake up call EVERY morning UGH!!!

Well, being a mom to three young kids, my body naturally gets up at that hour, anyways. LOL!

Gave me a chance to grab a coffee and enjoy the sunrise on our HUGE balcony. ;)

I would do it again in a heartbeat. Little things like that totally make a vacation.
