Rare thrifty99 Posted October 18, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Everyone we met on the ship was very understanding of the situation - never saw anyone who was upset / miserable about all the changes, but I'm sure they were out there. We much preferred they went to a 3rd port (back to Nassau) versus sailing at sea that day as the ship was less crowded for those of us who stayed on board and enjoyed sitting at the pool. My wife kept joking that this was the "worse cruise ever" but would say that even her worse cruise was still enjoyable. It was her "50th B-day" cruise gift so I have been told repeatedly that I owe her a "do-over" cruse due to the less than desirable itinerary. Any excuse for another cruise works for us!!! lbjen Posted October 18, 2017 #27 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Ugh. Another hurricane. We on as well. Last year we rode out Matthew on Empress. This year we were on Enchantment for Irma, then we had B2B on Adventure cancelled for Maria, now this. I'm starting to think I'm a hurricane magnet. Can't wait for Rhapsody in Europe in 2 weeks. No hurricanes there unless when we TA to Tampa. Sent from my SM-G935T using Forums mobile app I just had to go and check that Rhapsody isn’t sailing anywhere near Ophelia, because that really would make you a hurricane magnet! Linerguy Posted October 18, 2017 #28 Share Posted October 18, 2017 You're right, it did seem like most folks were fine with the switch; there weren't mobs of people at Guest Services threatening a mutiny. Because of all the changes prior to changing out Costa Maya, I don't think anyone was really surprised when the captain made the announcement. I was in my room and actually laughed out loud.
