11:15AM Flight Out of TPA

OK ... must have been asked many times. First off ship and a cab ... can an 11:15AM flight be made out of TPA.

It would help to know the time the ship scheduled to arrive.

Fog, particularly during the winter months, sometimes delays the ships arrival time.

For most ships arriving on time and 11:15 flight will be okay. You need to be at TPA for check in by about 9:45 - earlier is better - but the cab ride from the port to airport is only about 15+ minutes. As long as you are off the ship, with bags, and clear of customs/immigration by 9:00 or just after you should be fine.

If you get into the self-assist line very early so you can be one of the first to walk off, you should be able to get to the airport by 8:30am.

I agree with John, once you get in a taxi/Uber/Lyft, the ride is about 15 minutes. Pay close attention to the airline signs, there is a blue section and a red section. They join inside but it's quicker if you go in the correct color. You check in, go upstairs, catch the train to your terminal. It helps to know your gate number before you get to the airport as there are several trains and you don't want to get on the wrong train. Signs are clear which train goes to which gate
