King’s Wharf

Recommended Posts

Am interested in taking in the true local establishments, places, etc.....we like to avoid the tourist traps. With that being said, what and/or where can we do/go while here? TIA.

The ferry does not run from Royal Navy Dockyard to St George's on Saturday or Sunday. You can take a ferry to Hamilton, then walk about three blocks north to the Bus Terminal, and take a Pink Bus to St George's. It is a thrilling ride, with blind curves and narrow roads. You can purchase an all day pass that will cover both the ferry and buses at the SeaExpress office near the Dockyard ferry terminal for $19.00 adult, $9.50 child 15 or under. As I recall, it is well over two hours each way, so it does eat into your day.

Right...so I understand the ferry doesn’t go to St. George on the weekend.....true or not? If not, what are our choices for getting there?

We used cab service to get to St Georges. There are buses that go all the way but you should check the bus schedule online through Google.
