We are a group sailing on the Anthem of the Seas, arriving in Bermuda (King's Wharf) on Monday, Sept. 25 @ 9 am. We have booked Boston Whaler rentals from Somerset Bridge Watersports from 10:30 - 2:30. After this we plan to go to Crystal Caves and the original Swizzle Inn. What is the best way for us to get to and from these spots? We were thinking we may just take a taxi to Somerset Bridge Watersports (especially after reading the thread regarding the bus issues). I would greatly appreciate any advice on the best means of transport to these spots and back to the ship. Thanks in advance!

Yes to taking taxis, but are you doing the Crystal Cave/Swizzle Inn on the same day as your boat rental? If so you're setting yourself up for a lot of travel time on a single day, a bit of a rushed trip from Somerset Bridge Watersports to Crystal Cave. and some hefty taxi fares. The caves and the Swizzle Inn are on the east end of Bermuda, Somerset Bridge WS on the west end.

Figure about $20 for 1 -4 passengers from your ship's dock to Somerset Bridge WS. (FYI your ship docks at Heritage Wharf, not Kings Wharf, regardless of what Royal Caribbean might tell you. Both are at the Royal Naval Dockyard.)

From Somerset Bridge WS figure on about a $40-$45 taxi fare to Crystal Caves. You can then walk from the caves to the Swizzle Inn. A taxi from Swizzle Inn to your ship would be about $60 to $65. Alternatively you could take a taxi from Swizzle Inn to the Hamilton ferry terminal for perhaps about $25 and then take the Blue Route ferry back to the Dockyard. Ferry tokens can be purchased at the terminal for $4.50 each. The last ferry leaves Hamilton at 8:30 pm.

If you're going to the caves and the Swizzle Inn the next day, you can take the Orange Route ferry from the Dockyard to St. George, and then a taxi from St. George to the caves for about $20-$25.

How many are in your group? I've checked you old posts, and saw where you posted that 14 are in your group. Is that number still correct?

If there are 14 in your group, you will need 2 7 passenger taxis, and the fares NJ posted would be low.

The fare per taxi from Somerset WS to the caves would be about $60 plus tip. The fare per taxi from the caves or SI to Hamilton would be about $34 plus tip.

Travel time from Somerset WS to the caves is about 40 minutes. Travel time from the caves/SI to Hamilton is about 25 minutes.

The last tour of the caves starts at 4:30pm.

I agree with NJ on doing the caves the next day, just get an early start.

Thank you both so much for the info! We have 12 total now in our group. 9 of us are going to Somerset WS and then on the caves/Swizzle Inn, the other 3 will be meeting us at the caves. We planned to spend our 2nd day with an early start going to Warwick Long Bay and enjoying the walk to Horseshoe Bay and spending some time at the beach. The thought was to go early to avoid the heat of late afternoon and crowds, and also to stay closer to the ship.
