2PinaColadas Posted September 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2007 We will be in Key West from 7:30 to 2:00 on a Tuesday. What time do the bars open? Is there any that have live music that early? We stopped in Key West two years ago, but it was in the afternoon. Also, what is the BEST bar, not the most popular. We did not like Sloppy Joe's. Knights on the Beach Posted September 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2007 I don't like Sloppy Joe's either -- unless I have to use the restroom (easy to slip in and out). :p Rum Barrel, my FAVORITE bar in Key West doesn't open until 11:00. http://www.piratesoul.com/rumbarrel/specials/ Schooner Wharf Bar is open EARLY and it's on the water -- great atmosphere and they have mimosas and good Bloody Marys if you need a breakfast drink. ;) They have live music, but I think it doesn't start until noon. http://www.schoonerwharf.com/ I want to say most of the bars on/around Duval are open sometime between 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. They Flying Monkey Bar (at Fogarty's) is outside and is a good bar for people watching. They have good frozen drinks. http://www.fogartyskeywest.com/index.htm Bear Bottom Beach Club has very good Absolut Peppar Bloody Marys for $4.00 as well as other drink specials during the day. The Bull and Whistle is kind of an interesting place, and they have live music, but I don't know how early. Irish Kevin's has live music during the day, but I'm not sure what time they start playing either.
