  1. I've actually noticed a lot of women with small crossbody purses on cruises lately.
  2. I carry my phone in a small crossbody purse. It has card slots so I could put my S&S card in there too but I've started using a lanyard with detachable clip again. It's just more convenient for me.
  3. Great review, thank you for posting! So nice to see such an objective yet positive review from an experienced cruiser. We live 2 miles from terminal 3 at Port Canaveral and mainly cruise with Carnival, but are planning to branch out soon and try Celebrity, NCL and Princess.
  4. We did a spring break cruise on Mardi Gras in 2022. We heard some wild stories but fortunately we didn't see most of the antics. We stayed away from pools and hot tubs that week (except the hot tubs by Serenity a couple times). πŸ™‚
  5. We're in concierge next January. It will be our first Celebrity cruise so I'm not even sure we'll be able to get an early enough arrival time to make it to the lunch. Would anyone happen to have a copy of the menu?
  6. The real benefit is having someone to reach out to when something goes wrong or you need to make changes to a booking. We used to use a big online TA for all our cruises (1997 - 2010) - same guy for most of those cruises until he retired. Then when we started cruising again in 2021, I booked the first couple myself then found a great PVP. When Freedom caught on fire a couple days prior to our cruise in 2022, she was able to quickly get us on Mardi Gras for the same cruise date before it sold out.
  7. Very late to the party but I'm here now! We had the grandbabies over for the weekend so I'm ready to cruise!
  8. Vista left a little early Friday and we almost missed seeing her. She looks so shiny! 😍
  9. Yes, my friend at the port told me Freedom had a little issue but everything seems to be OK now. He's not sure why Mardi did a little jig out there. Anyway, I'm glad all is well! πŸ™‚
  10. I watched Mardi Gras turn north then back east and looks like it may be back on course now. Freedom has also moved since then.
  11. If it's the one we saw in port yesterday, it looks like a supply vessel. Past Grills but before the casino boat terminal?
  12. Yay, love Mardi Gras! We just booked another cruise on her for September. Looking forward to following along this week. No rain here just yet today.
  13. We're going to take a ride over shortly to take a peek at her. I'd rather be sitting at the atrium bar though. πŸ™‚
  14. That was our experience as well (minus the plane).
  15. Freeport is on Grand Bahama Island, ships have been going there for many years - though it's probably been 15+ years since we've been there on a cruise.
  16. We did this with my MIL's ashes several years ago. I reached out to Carnival prior to our cruise and they made it so easy for us. Once onboard the ship, we received a letter in our room that gave us our date and time. An officer met us at guest services and took us down to a lower deck at the back of the ship. There was our group of 16 and another guest who had her father's ashes. The officer gave us ample time and was very respectful. It was so quiet and peaceful there that afternoon and we saw dolphins just as we released the ashes. It was actually very moving.
  17. We used to buy our boys the "Coke sticker" (can't remember what they called it then, before Bubbles) on their sail & sign cards maybe 20 years ago and they didn't get a tumbler with that. We used to buy the cups with lids onboard way back when they had nice big ones.
  18. I've never received a tumbler or cup with Cheers on Carnival. I know Royal Caribbean gives out one with their drink package but I'm not sure if Carnival used to or not; we've only been getting Cheers since 2021.
