hahob Posted November 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2017 New cruiser here(yn) My wife and I are taking a cruise across the Atlantic in a few weeks from now, and we´re wondering about what to drink. We are not very fond of water coming in bottles. So our question to any of you that have recently travelled with the Fascinosa is: Is it safe to drink the tapwater in our cabin? I apology if my post is in the wrong place, and/or is answered elsewhere :-)
tenpin Posted November 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2017 Crossing the Atlantic the water in cabins will be mostly recycled water (on board,) while this may be drunk it would seem to be unadvisable by some. Your best bet is in the buffet where water is available during breakfast & party lunch time. I personally would purchase a water package as it is better than some bottled waters, & we quite like it. I apology if my post is in the wrong place, and/or is answered elsewhere :-) Welcome to CC. I would also recommend buffet and/or a water paclage. The water onboard can be from one of three sources, what is loaded in port (not enough to do a TA), recycled waste water (used mostly for laundry, toilets), or desalinated (osmosis) water. The tap water can be heavily chlorinated. I suggest you get one of these water bottles: then you can say the water is straight from the T A P. Have a great cruise.
