reedprincess Posted June 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Has anyone done this trail and if so with which tour company. We're not beach people so we need to find different things to do in the Caribbean and this looked like the best option for St. Lucia. You can check with Real St Lucia Experience, Barefoot Holidays, Solar Tours and Travel, etc. To arrange the trip. It's not really a recommended trip for cruise passengers overall due to your short time on island. The trailhead is at least 1.5 hours from the port, with the last portion a quite rough dirt road, and the hike is at minimum 3 hour hike - that's at a fast, steady pace. You're at 6 hours there without any hesitation, lunch, breaks, slower pace, etc There's plenty to do in St Lucia that doesn't involve the beach! There's other hikes (closer or shorter), ruins, plantation tours, zip line, volcano and mud baths, horseback riding, mineral baths, waterfalls, botanical gardens , segway tours, and so much more! Consider perhaps Morne Coubaril, with plantation tour, zip line, wonderful local lunch, and horseback riding. Stunning views, etc . Or Tet Paul trail, Morne Coubaril for plantation tour and lunch and back to ship. Or Pigeon Island with hiking, ruins, great restaurants, etc. Or Dennery for mountain biking and waterfall swim Or LaTille Falls for beautiful falls, fish spa, rope swings, etc... Lots to explore...
