Eagle44 Posted July 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Does anyone know if we have to validate the train ticket?
Shuffleboard Dude Posted July 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2018 You mean like in France? Then no, Nevertheless there are various types of tickets which are not valid for all trains. An anytime single Southampton Waterloo will cost you about £40. For all other questions, have a look at this website: https://www.seat61.com/UK-train-travel.htm
Bigmike911 Posted July 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2018 A suggestion: Ask the taxi driver to drop you on the 'London' side of the station. You can then walk from the station directly to the platform with out having to cross over using the stairs, and lifts (one of which has often been out of order). You will save time and steps, and if you have luggage, heavy lifting.
