We arrived in cozumel early this morning (yes, I was sleeping). Weather is great currenty about 65 and sunny. I will post more pictures on the link below later today if bud lightes disease does not get me.(bud lightes disease is a rare tropical disease that only occurs in the Caribbean)

Last night was a formal night and maybe 5% were dressed to the hilt. I wore my sport coat and tie and Kim dressed in a real nice pant suit. Dinner was very pleasant and food was good.

Till later today!

Have a wonderful day in Cozumel. Experts say it is best to combat bud lights disease by continuing consumption at same rate for several days then slowing reducing intake. Thanks for taking the time to send the pictures - they are great.

Happy Cruising!

I am enjoying your posts so much...whetting my appetite for boarding on the 19th. :D Are you doing the Western Carib because of the hurricanes or was that the planned itinerary? We're supposed to be doing the Eastern Carib so just wondering.Hope you're having the best time...enjoy!

I was just looking at your pictures and noticed you have a picture of OUR favorite bartender Haydar!!! We were on the first week of May and in there with him most of the nite every nite. Please go tell him we said hello, I don't know if he would remember our names Jenny, Lucy Nancy and Becky and we were on with his mom and dad. He is a lot of FUN!!!

spatz, the link is at the very bottom of his post.

Ira, glad you and Kim made it aboard and are enjoying yourselves! Thanks for letting us share your cruise with you. BTW, which one are you? Don't worry about that "disease". A lot of us experience something very similar during cruises. :D

Hstrybuf, thank goodness that nowhere in Cozumel had anyone contracted the budlightes disease, however thay told me to watch out for dosxxex disease have doubt I will get that as Carlos and Charlies beer is "Mexican Approved" and the 7 or so I drank went down well  the only problem that might arise would be from the bad limes I put in them, we'll see.

the poster about the best bartender, I will go back in the thread and write your names down and tell him you said HI! He is a nice fellow and bet he remembers you.

I will work on more photo's to post later on tonight so just check them out.

Cozumel was nice today. Did not find any nice bargins but that is okay, can now go to the Casino and blow the money there :D

Will give update later when I get the photo's posted

I was on the Explorer over Thanksgiving last year. We enjoyed the bartender up at the 19th hole--Can not remember his name for the life of me! Normally I would assume most staff is on for 6 months to a year--but this guy had been there several years. He took good care of us---we tipped him extremely well, and enjoyed him very much. He may remember our group--our boarding day was the Michigan/Ohio State football game, and we bought several Michigan t-shirts and passed them out to our room steward, waiters, ect---and of course--he had to have one! If you should happen to see this guy--please let him know we have many good memories of sitting in the 19th Hole! I think his name was something like--Austin. Have fun and enjoy your vacation!

Thanks for the pictures, we are HOPEFULLY getting on when you get off on Sunday. Keeping my eye on Ivan with my fingers crossed. Not sure I want to leave my kids to fend for themselves, with Ivan breathing down our necks.

Have a great rest of the week!!!! :)

Good Morning from Costa Maya Mexico!

We docked at about 7:30 and am not sure what costa Maya activities we will do. Since this was not our original iteniarry (sp) we have been winging everthing this week, but that has been fun too!

Have found out one thing -- the casinos take your money!!!!!! :D

Will take more pictures today and let all know if local beverages are good, I try and sample as many as possibe so that I can do a in depth review

As a side note it looks like we will end the cruise like we started, chasing a hurricane. Frances greeted us to Fla and now Ivan wants to see us.

Will be back later with photos and info.

Ira
