Good Morning from Costa Maya Mexico!

We docked at about 7:30 and am not sure what costa Maya activities we will do. Since this was not our original iteniarry (sp) we have been winging everthing this week, but that has been fun too!

Have found out one thing -- the casinos take your money!!!!!! :D

Will take more pictures today and let all know if local beverages are good, I try and sample as many as possibe so that I can do a in depth review

As a side note it looks like we will end the cruise like we started, chasing a hurricane. Frances greeted us to Fla and now Ivan wants to see us.

Will be back later with photos and info.

Ira

Ira, I was on the ship last week(suffering from PCD), and I had luck with 1 particular slot. It was at the bottem of the staircase from the promenade. Go to the right and you will see a line of "party" machines facing the bar. The good one was the second from the right. It was a jackpot party. I hit it for about $100 on three different nights. Boy do I miss that machine!

Another vote for the Best Bartender. If you see him, tell him that his Mommy from Ohio saw his picture and asked you to say hello from his Ohio Mommy and Daddy. He will know who it is. Tell him we miss him already even though we saw him just last week.

I will do today, he spoke so highly of you although I don't like his choice of Ohio State (smile)

Y'all must be very nice people!!!!

Good evening All!!!!

Looks like all of our ports of call are just about gone, we have a sea day tomorrow now and maybe Nassau Saturday but my hurricane education 4TH Grade tells me we will not make that one. we have had two ports and looks like that is it. We slowed down for a hurrican, frances, and now are racing one, Ivan.

I have posted new pictures of todays stop in Costa maya, this is really a pretty place, If I were rich and young I would buy (lease) property here. this place will grow big time in the next 5 years. Us "gringos" have not taken over yet but we will shortly and It will be spoiled then. Most of the retail is located in the Main City of Majahual and it is a pretty place with sand roads and local people. All thing you need or want to do are available here but still mostly local people. Majahual is about a 10 minute ride by taxi and cost $3.00 per person. We had some real Mexican food and cold beer here and just sat on the beautiful beach. SAW MY FIRST THONG!

We got back to port about 5:00 PM and took a short nap then to dinner, the food has been good, not always what I liked but everybody says it is real good.

Special note to Haydars adopted parents we put more photos on the photo link for you and he said Hi! and send money!!!!!! (I made that part up) ;)

Okay ladies and Gentlemen must hit the sack and will get more ship photos for you tomorrow. anyone need any pictures of someithing (no naked women!) let me know.

Good morning all!!!

Pretty day at sea today. Had room service for breakfast as I have to have my coffee to get awake well enough to walk.

Tonight is Lobster and Prime Rib night, bet I pig out.

No port of call today as we are heading to Nassau. Not sure we will get there as the intniary has changed as often as I change my mind about what to do.

If anyone needs any special pictures of the ship let me know and I will try my best to get them for you. the Explorer is beatiful and in great shape. She is so much bigger than most ships as you can see in the photo link below. A few of the photos show the Explorer and Celebration side by side for comparsion.

catch y'all later today.

Ira

PS

Kim and I both walked away from the Casino last night with more than we came in with. I am sure we will correct our winning streak tonight

Hey Ira! Throw a few quarters in the slots for me. Maybe you'll win again because they sure took my money! :D How are the seas? Ivan is predicted to hit south or west of Florida. If you hurry you might make it to Nassau!

Hisrybuff,

They just announced we are going to Nassau, we'll see. Have had a great time doing nothing on this cruise, sleep, eat, gamble, DRINK, sleep after drinking, then eat some more  Have really enjoyed the cybercabin hook-up slow compared to dsl but very adequite(sp). My business e-mails sales daily and step children e-mail all the time, always a crisis with them.

I hope to post all kinds of new interior/exterior pictures of the Explorer on my photo link today, just a matter of editing them and posting-----no naked women yet but am looking all over the ship

Good Morning from Nassau!
We are just arriving at the port now, for some reson we are about 45 minutes late but we are docking now.

Last night was another formal night in the dining room. We had the lobster and Prime Rib, both were real good. Did preety good in the casiono last night, maybe about even for the week. My bet is we blow it all tonight  .

I have posted new photos of the exterior/interior of the Explorer that people that have not been on her might want to see. A few of them are of our cabin 7632 (excuse the messey room) our cabin is a balcony D1. I have not labled the pictures yet because of the time involved, will try to get to that later. Will take some pictures for y'all of Nassau today and post them this PM. The link for the photos are at the bottom of the page.

We are eating at Portifinos tonight so will let you know later how that is.

Till later!
