Liberty of the Seas - Stateroom 9306

1st Time cruiser here :)

Had a GTY E3 category balcony; just received our stateroom assignment D1 balcony - 9306. Can someone shed some light on the different letters & numbers regarding the staterooms? Also, 9306 has a sofa bed, is that sufficient for family of 4; kids 8 & 11 or would Pullman beds be better? Any other information would help, as I understand I can request a different room (based on availability)?

If the cabin sleeps 4 it may have a Pullman and a sofa bed. That is the situation we hadon a previous cruise.

According to the deck plan on cruise deck plans dot com, the cabin just has a sofa bed. It does not have a pullman. The kids will have to share the sofa bed.

The cabin also connects to 9304. For that reason alone, I would see if another cabin was available.

Enjoy your first cruise! With a family of four in a room, think about taking an over the door shoe organizer -- best pre-cruise tip we ever got when the kids were younger, and avoided a lot of cabin clutter. (Some people hate them -- and you may be one of those! -- but we found it super helpful.)
