Ships Photos

Hi,can anybody tell me how much the photos of the formal night etc cost on board ? (Celebration Red Sea December 2010). Cheers, Goldfi8h

On the Spirit, they were doing an offer of 3 for £30 - we found out the 2nd week we could keep all our photos back with the photographer & chose what we wanted at the end of the week. The smaller ones were cheaper - those were 10 x 8

On Celebration in June we bought one A4 full length, just us 2, and one A5 with the captain. Price £27.98 with free photo key ring or fridge magnet (the one with the captain). Photos mounted in chocolate brown card frame and free picture postcard of the ship.:):)

Hi

we were on the Celebration last week on the Aegean Discovery and they were charging £10.99 for a normal picture and £12.99 for the Captains celebration pictures...bit of a con seeing as the Captain was no where to be seen!

On the last night though we recieved a half price voucher throught the door for any full size photo. According previous passengers this is a regular occurance - not a one off offer.

Still think they are a rip off though as they print them whether you want them or not,so have nothing to lose by selling them cheaper, i'm sure more peolpe would buy them if they weren't so expensive.

They are indeed a rip off. We only bought the one taken at the formal night, standing with the captain. We would have bought more but quite frankly they are not worth in excess of £10. When we went for lunch just outside of the Vatican, we had a family photo taken and it cost us 5 Euros and was just as good as those taken on the ship.

Totally agree, although they are quite good quality to be frank the people do look a bit odd with heads a bit too big and short legs. I don't know what type of lens they use but it must be a way of fitting the whole body in. It wasn't just us, honest!! lol, everyone's photo looked the same and I'm not that keen on our full length one as it looks as if it's been taken from above. The one with the captain is much better with just head and shoulders. We've never had a professional photo of the two of us so we bought them but wouldn't bother again.

When we went on the trip to Ephesus an official photographer followed us around and we bought 3 A5 photos for about £7.50 or so and they are really nice of the two of us. A good buy.:):)
