I always pack a variety of ziplock bags in my luggage. Most places in Florida still have plastic bags, but I can see a full ban in the future. Or take a collapsible reusable bag with you.

I always carry a small fold up bag - then you can say NO to plastic bags which pollute the earth, especially the oceans. You soon get into the habit and you are doing your 'bit'.

The reason is very simple. It is to promote using your own bags to cut down on waste and in the long run our environment gains from that and that means we do.

However, germaphobes beware, your own bags can get quite unsanitary. Also, studies have shown that it takes more energy to product these bags than is saved by using them. Both plastic and paper are fully recyclable and most plastic bags these days are made out of recycled material. Just saying.

Absolutely agree with you. We always carry our own bags, even on vacation.

This is true, especially with meat drippings and such. I wash our bags in the machine and put them in the dryer too. Works for me.
