What kind of music do they play in the dance clubs?

I'm cruising with my best friend (girlfriend cruise!) in September and we are wondering what type of music they play in the dance clubs?

Is it all hip-hop and rap and new music these days??

We are hoping for some oldies/disco/70's/80's music to dance to.....

All contemporary pop/hip hop/house.

You can find the other type of music in some of the other places on the ships though. You won't find too many people dancing though (at least on the cruises I've been on).

We were on the Fascination in November. For one hour was 70/80's music, which mostly consisted of 70s. Then after that, straight hip hop. Like 5 Lil Wayne songs, one Rihanna song, 5 Lil Wayne, back to one Rihanna, and so on and so forth. We left.

On our cruise last year on the Dream, there were certain nights that earlier in the evening...say 8 - 10 they would play different types of music. Then after that it became the hip/hop dance music. This was all listed in the FunTimes!!

We will try the dance club earlier in the evening, and I'll keep my eye on the Fun Times for music that might interest us
