Amber Cove - any current info?

So in my experience with cruising with a family, I can always find TONS of recommendations or hints through Cruise Critic. Has everyone just given up on posting about Amber Cove? We will be there in June on Horizon. There is really a minimum of current information on Amber Cove on the port boards or even here. Has anyone recently been there?

I get that it might not be everyone's favorite, BUT I will be there with my 5 kids age ( 21-15)...Staying on the ship will not really be an option as they will want to get off. We budget our expenses so looking for biggest bang for our buck to say...I THINK from what I read that many just stay at the pool. Any current pictures? What is best to do while hanging at the pool? My family is pretty active and they simply do not sit at a pool well.:)

There are two water slides that are free to use and the zip line is pretty reasonable. :)
