Silly embarkation alcohol question

Hello,

I have a silly question for you experienced knowleadgable cruisers. I know you can´t board the ship with alcohol as they confiscate it. But the thing is that before my cruise in January I am going to Puerto Rico and would like to bring some rum home. Can I step forward and tell them at check in I have alcohol bottles so they hold it for me til the end of the cruise like they do in ports?

I am not really interested in buying from the ports we are visiting - or maybe I will buy more ;p - but I really want to bring some bottles from PR. I looked everywhere on the MSC website but all I could find was the purchased in ports alcohol, nothing about embarkation day.

no issue - they will hold for you until the last night of the cruise and return back to you....

I've done exactly what you propose with no problems at all.

The crew man was surprised to find someone asking for their alcohol to be kept safe for them.

Guess that is a rare event.
