Docking

the QE2 docks right in the heart of the city in the "rocks" part of town., Its the oldest part of sydney but you are about 5 minutes walk from the Opera House and 2 minutes from some great sightseeing. Sydney and Auckland are probably two of the prettiest harbours to sail into....

Where do the cruise ships dock in Sydney Harbor? We will be on the QE2 in February there.

Thanks!

You will also be visiting Tauranga in NZ on the 10th Feb. The harbour here is quite spectacular as well with the narrow entrance dominated but our extinct [we hope] volcano called Mount Maunganui or in Maori its Mauao. If you need any info on this area just post and we will help if we can. Regards ian

There are several places to dock. It also depends on the size of the ship, many have to fit under the Harbour Bridge.

QE2 will be at the Overseas terminal at Circular Quay.

Have a look at the view sydney website listed below and you can see a webcam which will show you Circular Quay.

Looking forward to New Zealand. We were there in 1996 and had the privilege of seeing some of both North and South. We will be staying in the area for Elms Mission Station and Te Puke! Any other ideas?

Thanks for being here!

Do you mean you would like suggestions on what to do when your ship docks in Tauranga or are you actually staying near the places you mentioned. TePuke is the Kiwifruit capitol of NZ and about a 30 minute drive from the port. The Elms Mission station is a 10 minute drive. Regards Ian [Tauranga] i live here.
