OregonGal56 Posted November 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Hello, in port at St. Thomas on the Jewel on Dec 18th. Was hoping to catch a taxi to the Charlotte Amalie ferry dock, head over to St. Johns, then either Trunk Bay or Honeymoon Beach. Our ship is docked from 8-5:30. Have done this before with no problems, but a little worried now because of the damage recovery, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Ms411 Posted November 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2017 The Red Hook ferry is currently only ferry going to St John. I think at least one ferry was damaged so full schedule not yet available.
beautifulbill Posted November 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 27, 2017 You will also have to check to see if the water is safe to swim in as the runoff has resulted in some beaches being closed.
OregonGal56 Posted November 30, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Thanks for the info. I do believe Honeymoon Beach is open, but think we will stay on St. Thomas.
RSWBADGER Posted December 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2017 We are in St. Thomas today on the Summit, correct Red Hook ferry is the only one running. Trunk Bay in St. John's is also now open free of charge.
