Ketchikan excursion - time left for exploring town?

Hello you all,

We will be in Ketchikan on august 17 from 6 am to 2 pm. The excursion we have planned is scheduled for 7:45 am till 11:15 (wildlife cruise and beach bonfire :-)). Will this leave us enough time to explore Ketchikan (creek street) on our own?

I don't see why not. Even if you get dropped back off at the cruise terminal at noon, its only a 10-minute walk or so to Creek Street so you'll have some time.
