Beaches in Marseilles near the cruise port

Can anybody recommend a good beach in Marseilles? This will be port #5 in 5 days for us and I don't think we want to do much here. Just relax on a beach for a few hours would be nice. Any recommendations?

There are no beaches within walking distance of the port. One of the closer public beaches would be just south of town and is called Plage de la Pointe Rouge. Although DW and I beach lovers we have never personally used any of the beaches in the Marseille area. The location of Marseille is just too close to many wonderful places in Provence for us to do a beach day. When we want a beach day in the South of France it has usually been when we are around Cannes (either on a cruise or on a driving trip).
